The popular anime series The Rising Of The Shield Hero is getting its 2nd season. So fans excited to see the outcome of the series.
The series is adapted from a novel series written by Aneko Yusagi. It was also made into a manga by Aiya Kyū.
The show was first aired on 9th January 2019. Season 1 consisted of 25 episodes. It is also known by the Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari in Japan. the show is directed by Tabo Akao and production work is done by Kinema Citrus.
The Plot
In ancient time, four heroes came to rescue the world from a great danger. The four heroes were powerful and skilled in the use of a single weapon. Following are the weapons carried the heroes- a sword, shield, bow, and spear.
When the threat of monsters returned to their work, the kingdom of Melromarc summons the heroes again. Four teenagers from modern-day Japan are chosen as vessels called Four Cardinals. The cardinals get assigned with a weapon of the legendary heroes.
Naofumi Iwatani a peace-loving teenager is chosen as the shield-bearer. He is considered weak as he avoids getting into fights. So nobody wants to be friends with him. His only friend was princes Melromarc who betrayed him which adds insult to injury.
The princess robbed him of his money and laid charges of sexual assault on him. So he must train alone to become the warrior he is destined to be.

Expectations From The Rising Of The Shield Hero Season 2
From Season 1 we know that Naofumi buys a demi-human slave called Raphtalia. Naofumi treats her well so a bond of friendship gets created between them. They travel and train together.
Finally, at the end of Season 1, we see Naofumi and Raphtalia get ready to fight to protect the people of Melromarc. Read more about the story here – Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari.

The characters Glass and L’Arc will also feature in the second season.
Release Date
Season 3 has already been confirmed so there will be a season 2. Season 2 is expected to release by 2021 around January or February. There may be a delay in the schedule due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
