When Was Season 3 Of The Mandalorian Filmed?
We at Collider reported that The Mandalorian Season 3 won’t begin filming until late 2021. This could be because Pedro Pascal is working on the HBO TV version of “The Last of Us,” which is currently being filmed. But the main reason is that the state-of-the-art LA soundstages where The Mandalorian is shot are currently being used for other projects.
Lucasfilm was committed to finishing production on The Book of Boba Fett and Obi-wan Kenobi before they went to work on The Mandalorian Season 3. The Book of Boba Fett and Obi-wan Kenobi finished filming on June 8, 2021, and September 19, 2021, respectively. Filming for Season 3 finally started on October 13, 2021, and it was done on March 29, 2022.

What Is The Mandalorian Season 3 Plot?
The fight for the Darksaber is the most crucial storyline for Season 3. This legendary Mandalorian weapon is a sign of power, and the rightful ruler of Mandalore is the person who holds it. The Darksaber was in the hands of Moff Gideon until the end of Season 2 when Din Djarin won it in a fight.
He then gave Bo-katan the dark saber, but she refused. The only way for her to get the weapon and claim the throne is to fight Din Djarin and win. That will be a problem in Season 3 of The Mandalorian. Din Djarin wants to be something other than a leader, but he can’t just throw the Darksaber into space.
Also, Ahsoka has already mentioned Thrawn, so Eu’s character could also come into play. And Mandalorian politics could be a plot point when the show comes back. And since we’re talking about Mandalore, the Mandalorian homeworld has yet to be shown on the show. Before the series’ events, an attack by the Empire called the “Great Purge” destroyed the planet.
Most people in the galaxy, including the Mandalorians, think that Mandalore is a cursed world. But Bo-katan is determined to reclaim the earth and unite the Mandalorians as one country. Grogu’s return is another plot point that fans would be interested in seeing. The Little Green Child is the show’s breakout star, so it would be sad if he didn’t play a more significant role in Season 3.
The Mandalorians may get into more trouble with the Empire. Even though Moff Gideon was defeated, other remnants of the Empire are still out in the galaxy. At some point, we’ll see how all of these pieces fit together, and whether the Mandalorian likes it or not, he’ll be in the middle of the action.
Mandalore will be a significant setting in the new season. Even though the Mandalorian will probably keep traveling from place to place, he will return to his homeworld, likely to meet with Bo-katana.
How Does The Mandalorian Season 3 Connect To The Book Of Boba Fett?
As many fans know, “Chapter 5: Return of the Mandalorian,” the fifth episode of The Book of Boba Fett, changed a lot. It felt more like a “back to basics” episode of The Mandalorian than an episode of the Boba Fett-led series. Din’s appearance in the show’s last three episodes did tie up some loose ends left open at the end of Season 2.
For example, Mando got a new ship, he and Grogu got back together, we learned more about the Darksaber’s history, and his tribe kicked him out when they found out he took off his helmet. He also finds out that the only way he can make up for his mistakes is to touch the water in the Mines of Mandalore, which will probably take up a lot of Season 3.
Mandalore will be a significant setting in the new season. Even though the Mandalorian will probably keep traveling from place to place, he will return to his homeworld, likely to meet with Bo-katana.
