Season 2 ended with a big fight between this Magne and Thor. Is Magne coming back soon? Here’s everything you need to know about Ragnarok Season 3:
Ragnarok Season 3 Renewal Status: Is Ragnarok cancelled?
Netflix has not yet Confirmed Ragnarok Season 3 as of April 2022. Ragnarok’s landing page on Netflix now reads “it’s official: another season is coming” as a sign that Netflix has confirmed the show’s third season. Ragnarok Season 3 is in the works, according to Herman Tmmeraas, who plays Fjor in the series, and we should expect some good news this summer.

Tmmeraas teased that while it’s in the hands of the Netflix gods, there’s still hope for good news during the summer when questioned about a possible Season 3 in July 2021. “I still believe that the Netflix gods had a hand in this.” However, I believe there will be some new information during the summer. In truth, I’m not sure. Digitalspy heard him say, “But I hope.”
When will Ragnarok Season 3 be released?
Fans of “Ragnarok,” which returns to Netflix in May 2021 with a second season that has left them wondering about Magne’s friends and foes’ fates, have been eager to learn if the fantasy series will return for a third and final season. Season 3 of “Ragnarok” was confirmed by several of the supporting actors in late 2021 (via YouTube). On the “Ragnarok” landing page, Netflix has added a bolded phrase that reads, “It’s official: There will be a new series!” The real question now is: When will the third and final (yep, you read that correctly – final) season arrive on the streaming giant?
The release date for Season 3 has not yet been revealed. There have been six noteworthy episodes in each of the first two seasons of “Ragnarok.” If you look at the premiere dates of the past seasons, you may get a sense of how long Season 3 will take to produce. Season 3 of “Ragnarok” is likely to arrive in the second half of 2022, following the release of Seasons 1 and 2 on January 31st, 2020, and May 27, 2021, respectively.
Who will return for Ragnarok season 3?
There are no rumours of any cast members quitting this project, except for those who died in the previous season. As a result, the majority of our big actors will be the same, including Magne, our hero, played by David Stakston, and Jonas Strand Gravli, who will star as Magne’s half-brother, the modern-day manifestation of Loki.
You may also expect to see their newly discovered partner gods, such as Iman, played by Danu Sunth, as well as all of the important human characters from Season 2. Following is the list of main characters…
- David Stakston as Magne Seier
- Jonas Strand Gravli as Laurits Seier
- Herman Tommeraas as Fjor
- Theresa Frostad Eggesbo as Saxa
- Emma Bones as Gry
- Henriette Steenstrup as Turid Seier
- Synnove Macody Lund as Ran
- Gisli Orn Garoarsson as Vidar
What is Ragnarok Season 3’s plot?
Season 1 of “Ragnarok” focuses mostly on Magne’s growing powers and his conflict with the Jutul family, while Season 2 ups the ante by introducing viewers to a slew of other Norse god reincarnations. Additionally, it establishes Magne’s (David Stakston) half-brother, Laurits (Jonas Strand Gravli), as the incarnation of Loki the trickster. Perhaps predictably, the sophomore season’s finale finds the siblings at odds, as Magne betrays Laurits’ confidence and the latter’s schemes result in the release of the lethal Jörmungandr — the world snake that kills Thor.
If Season 3 follows its predecessor’s path and picks up where “Ragnarok” Season 2 ended, Magne and the other reborn gods are in serious jeopardy, even with the possibility of an alliance with Saxa (Theresa Frostad Eggesb).
Not only are the remaining Jutuls as destructive as ever, but Laurits has firmly shifted his allegiance away from Magne, and his murderous “tapeworm” is now free to wander. Even without considering all of the expected additional threats, it’s probably safe to predict that Season 3 of “Ragnarok” will be extremely perilous for the characters.
Where can you see the third season of Ragnarok?
When Ragnarok Season 3 is released, it will be available exclusively on Netflix; however, you can currently view the first two seasons of Ragnarok on Netflix.
