Road to Drag Race Philippines Season 2: A Timeline of Exciting Announcements
On October 6, 2022, Rajo Laurel, an alternate judge from season 1, hinted about the show’s renewal. However, both Discovery+ and HBO Go denied having a second season of Drag Race Philippines in the works. Then, on October 19, 2022, World of Wonder, the production company, officially announced the renewal of the show for a second season, including Drag Race Philippines: Untucked!.
By October 30, 2022, the official Instagram page of the show revealed that they were looking for contestants for the new season. People had four weeks to apply, and the application period ended on December 1, 2022. In March 2023, Warner Bros. Discovery Asia-Pacific shared that Discovery+ would no longer be available in the Philippines from April 27, 2023. This meant HBO Go would be the main platform for the show’s national broadcasting.
Fast forward to June 29, 2023, World of Wonder posted a teaser on social media featuring the host, Paolo Ballesteros, in a tropical setting. On July 5, 2023, it was announced that judges KaladKaren and Jiggly Caliente would return for season 2. Lastly, on July 28, 2023, it was confirmed that photographer BJ Pascual, fashion designer Rajo Laurel, and actor-comedian Jon Santos would be alternating judges this season. The exciting news continued on July 11, 2023, when the names of the twelve contestants for the new season were unveiled.

Drag Race Philippines season 2 cast of queens:
Arizona effortlessly combines a pedestrian-chic aesthetic with her own brand of humour, attracting the attention of her audience with her irresistible presence. Arizona, a self-proclaimed Adele impersonator and drag mother to the Rapture Royalties, takes the stage by storm at Rapture, a prominent drag bar in Cubao. She utters her catchphrase “shot puno!” (bottoms up!) with a mischievous grin as she downs a complete bottle of beer, exemplifying her philosophy of not taking life or drag too seriously.
