Britney Spears has been under her father Jamie Spear’s conservatorship for years. This happened when her mental health decorated and her father took complete charge of her. But now Spears is fighting for freedom.
Britney Spears Won’t Perform Live
A legal battle is going on between Spears and his father. Because Spears does not want to be under any conservatorship because she is completely fine now. And hence can take charge of her life.
But her father Jamie is adamant that he won’t let Britney free. And the reason he gave was that she is not in a position to take any decision related to her career or finance. Therefore she should be under his care. To which Britney filed a case against him and the legal battle started.
So at a recent hearing, her attorney revealed something shocking. He told the court that Britney will not appear in any live shows or concerts as long as Jamie remains her conservator.
He also claimed that she is terrified of her father. The attorney Samuel D. Ingham III also claimed that Britney does not want to start any of her new ventures until and unless she gets complete freedom.
She wants to be in charge of her own life.
Will She Ever Get Freedom?
Well, the legal battle between Britney Spears and her father is going on. There has been a couple of hearings so far but the court has not reached any conclusion.
The decision will be taken based on Britney’s present health conditions. We all know that her father Jamie became her conservator after she had a breakdown during one of her concerts in 2008. But at that time it was mentioned that she will be under his care until she recovers.
But now the 38-year-old singer is claiming that she was completely doing fine but her father is denying to set her free. So if that is true then there are chances that the decision might be in her favour.
Because it is right from her part to demand freedom. No matter even if Jamie is her biological father, he cannot rule over her. And she has the complete right to make her own decisions.
As per her attorney, Jamie is not ready to let go of his conservatorship for financial gain. Although things are really on the rocks between the singer and her father she has always been there for him.
Back in 2019 when Jamie’s health deteriorated, Britney was by his side.
