Showtime has set a premiere date for the drama series Your Honor, which stars and was created by Oscar nominee and Emmy winner Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad). The second and final season of the show will be available on the Showtime streaming service on Friday, January 15 2023.
Your Honor is based on the Israeli show Kvodo, which was made by Ron Ninio and Shlomo Mashiach. It debuted in August 2021 and tells the story of Michael Desiato, played by Cranston, who is a respected judge in New Orleans.
When his son accidentally kills Jimmy Baxter’s son in a hit-and-run, played by SAG Award winner Michael Stuhlbarg, Desiato’s life turns into a web of lies, deceit, and hard decisions. Season 2 of Your Honor will have 10 episodes, just like Season 1. It is currently being made.
Hope Davis (Love Life, American Crime), who plays Jimmy Baxter’s wife Gina, and Isiah Whitlock Jr. (The Wire), who plays Michael’s best friend Charlie, both star in the show. Rosie Perez, who was nominated for an Oscar and an Emmy for her role in “The Flight Attendant,” will guest star as Olivia Delmont, a “charismatic assistant U.S. attorney who must manipulate and motivate an unwilling asset to bring down a crime organization in New Orleans.”
Margo Martindale, who won an Emmy for her work on “The Americans,” will play Senator Elizabeth Guthrie, the mother of Desiato’s late wife and one of the last connections to his old life. Amy Landecker (Transparent) plays Detective Nancy Costello, who feels betrayed by her friendship with Desiato and won’t let go until she finds out the truth.
Other cast members include Lilli Kay, who plays Fia Baxter, Keith Machekanyanga, who plays Little Mo, Andrene Ward-Hammond, who plays Big Mo, Jimi Stanton, who plays Carlo, and Benjamin Flores Jr., who plays Eugene Jones.
Joey Hartstone (The Good Fight) is the showrunner and an executive producer for Season 2. Emmy nominees Robert and Michelle King (The Good Fight, The Good Wife, Evil) and Liz Glotzer (Evil, The Good Fight) are also executive producers on the project. Along with Cranston, Emmy nominee James Degus (All the Way) is executive producing the series for Moonshot Entertainment.
Executive producers also include Rob Golenberg, Alon Aranya, Ninio, Mashiach, Ram Landes, Ron Eilon, and Danna Stern. Your Honor is made by CBS Studios and King Size Productions together.
The second season of Your Honor will start on Showtime on December 9, and it will air for the first time on Sunday, December 11 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Below is a sneak peek at the second season, which will start soon:
