Studio Sunrise has formally approved the specific Hanyo no Yashahime Season 2 will premiere on October 2, 2021.
Acknowledging that the Yashahime anime is standalone and not showing an actual fictional or book series, Sunrise is possibly toeing the waters to view just how famous the Inuyasha series could be with new anime fans.

Yashahime Princess Half-Demon’ Season 2 Plot
The children of Sesshomaru and Inuyasha start on a trip ahead of time. In feudal Japan, Semi-Demon doubles Towa and Setsuna come exclusively through a forest burning.
While Towa seriously explores for her youthful sister, she joins a secret tunnel that transfers her to present-day Japan, where she will be discovered and supported by Kagome Higurashi’s bro Sota and his relatives.
After ten years, this hole, which combines the two times, resumes and joins Towa and Setsuna, presently acting as a Demon Hunter for Kohaku.
Hence, Setsuna does not retain anything regarding Towa. With the extension of Inuyasha and Kagome’s child Moroha, three youthful ladies start on an adventure to discover their lost history among two periods.
