Upload Season 2 Plot

Season 1 concludes with Nathan regaining consciousness after his update. We discover that he met Ingrid’s father in private and sold him a program copy.

He claims not to remember Nora due to his update but later confesses to Luke that he is too ashamed to talk to her. Nathan eventually phones Nora to confess, only for his attacker to attempt an assault on Nora in her apartment.

She flees, and Nathan traps and kills his attacker in the elevator. Nora then confesses to her father her affections for Nathan but receives no reaction.

Ingrid pays a visit to Nathan in the season 1 finale. She informs him that she has uploaded herself for them to stay together in perpetuity. Crushed, Nathan responds with a single phrase, using all of his 1 GB of bandwidth, and we last see Ingrid attempting to contact tech support while the room’s lights flicker out.

Season 2 will examine how Nathan and Ingrid’s relationship alters due to her uploading herself to be with them. We may anticipate some intriguing narrative aspects if and when Nathan finally admits that he no longer wants to be with her.
