Kevin Gates steps out with his new girlfriend, Jojo Zarur, following his divorce from Dreka Gates.
There have been rumours of the Baton Rouge rapper dating the Love and Hip Hop Miami star for weeks. On Tuesday, they were spotted having dinner in New York City for the first time in public. Kevin Gates even went on Instagram Live for a few minutes while he was eating, and Zarur was in his face the entire time.
Later, the couple was spotted walking hand-in-hand while Gates paused to take photos with fans while surrounded by security. According to Urban Islandz’s sources, the two are currently dating and determining where their relationship will go. According to reports, they have been dating for a few weeks and appear to be growing closer as he and his wife drift apart.
According to sources, “for now they’re just dating and having fun enjoying each other’s company; both are free-spirited and very happy in each other’s company.”
Jojo Zarur is a member of the cast of Love and Hip Hop Miami. She is also a celebrity stylist whose parents describe her heritage as Lebanese and Mexican. Her mother is Lebanese-Arabic and her father is Mexican. Zarur was a stylist for Young Thug and other A-list celebrities in the past.
While the couple has not yet confirmed their relationship, their Instagram Live debut is likely as official as it will get for the time being.
In March of this year, rumours of Kevin Gates and his wife’s separation surfaced online, a few weeks after Urban Islandz reported that the couple was on vacation in Jamaica to celebrate the rapper’s 36th birthday.
Kevin and Dreka Gates have been married for nearly seven years and have been together for nearly two decades. Prior to their wedding in 2015, the couple had been in a relationship for twelve years. Dreka reflected on their relationship while celebrating 17 years together in 2020.
