Did you catch the latest Academy Award ceremony? FX released a Teaser for the upcoming second season of “The Bear” and revealed that it’s set to hit screens in June. I can’t wait!
FX tweeted in the teaser’s Caption: “It’s not a reopening, it’s a rebirth. FX’s ‘The Bear’ returns this June. Only on Hulu.”
“The Bear” is a heartwarming series about a talented young chef who takes over his family’s Italian beef sandwich store in Chicago after his brother’s death. With a star-studded cast including Jeremy Allen White as Carmen “Carmey” Berzatto, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Richard “Richie” Jerimovich, Ayo Edebiri as Sydney Adamu, Lionel Boyce as Marcus, Liza Colón-Zayas as Tina, and Abby Elliott as Natalie “Sugar” Berzatto, this show promises to be a must-watch for anyone who loves great food and heartwarming family stories.
The second season will consist of ten episodes, two more than the first, and will concentrate on opening the new restaurant.
The first season received many honors, including wins at the WGAs and Indie Spirit Awards as well as Golden Globe, Critics’ Choice, and SAG nominations. In February, White won the SAG award for best actor, in addition to the Critics’ Choice Award and the Golden Globe Award.
During Sunday’s Academy Awards ceremony, FX released a trailer for the highly anticipated second season of “The Bear” and announced that it would premiere in June.

In January, stars White and Edebiri and executive producer Joanna Calo told Variety that Carmey and Sydney’s relationship in the second season will not progress beyond coworkers and (somewhat) acquaintances.“We wanted to make something that was about friendship and a partnership,” Storer explained. “It really is so funny that that is one of the things that people took away — of all the heavy shit that’s going on in the show! It was interesting because Ayo and Jeremy since they are our friends and are such wonderful people, I think there is this charisma that comes off both of them.”
