The Afterparty season 2 release date has yet to be determined by Apple TV Plus.
The series was renewed by the streaming service on March 2, so it may be sometime before production on season 2 begins. Miller and Lord are a very busy producing team. They are currently working on the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse sequel, as well as a number of other projects such as a Clone High reboot and Project Hail Mary with Ryan Gosling.
Even if someone else runs The Afterparty season 2 and Miller relinquishes directorial duties, scriptwriting and filming could take months. Season 2 is unlikely to premiere until mid-to-late 2023, according to our best guess.

The Afterparty season 2 cast
Tiffany Haddish, who returns as Detective Danner in Afterparty season 2, leads the cast.
Sam Richardson as Aniq and Zo Chao as Zoe also return.
Ike Barinholtz as Brett, Ilana Glazer as Chelsea, Jamie Demetriou as Walt, John Early as Danner’s partner Detective Culp, and Reid Scott as Danner’s nemesis Detective Germain are all possible returning cast members. Ben Schwartz, who plays Yasper, is the least likely returning cast member who is still potentially available.
While Dave Franco, who plays murder victim Xavier, is unlikely to return, we may see more of him in music videos that were not shown in season 1.
Elizabeth Perkins, Zach Woods, Paul Walter Hauser, Poppy Liu, Anna Konkle, Jack Whitehall, and Vivian Wu are among the newcomers to Season 2.
Ken Jeong has also joined the cast of The Afterparty in an unspecified role.

The Afterparty Season 1 received positive reviews from critics. It appears that The Afterparty Season 2 will be well received by the audience.
In a recent episode of the first season of the show The Afterparty, we saw Danner interrogate Yasper, Xavier’s former high school ska bandmate, and Yasper tells his story in the style of a show-stopping musical.
Simultaneously, after noticing that the handwriting on the discarded note matches the handwriting on one of his face drawings, Aniq asks the partygoers to write something to see if their handwriting matches the note, but later notices the disappearance of one of the partygoers.
