Indian cinema has been hit hard by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, with many delays reported this week.
But what about ‘Radhe Shyam’, the much-anticipated love story that has been pushed out to a more convenient release date?
Radha Krishna Kumar directs Radhe Shyam, an upcoming Indian film by UV Creations and T-Series.
As a result, nothing is known about Radhe Shyam’s narrative, which has been described as an epic 1970s-set historical romance film set in Europe.
For those who are eager to see high-quality set pieces and cinematography with a budget of Rs 350 Crore (about $46.7 million), the movie’s plot is still a mystery.
In October 2018, principal filming began in Hyderabad, Georgia, and Italy, with the production crew flying out to complete the rest of the filming in July 2021.
Although the film was originally made in Telugu and Hindi, it has now been confirmed that it would be released in Tamil Kannada and Malayalam, too.
Radhe Shyam Release Date
Originally set for release in late July 2021, Radhe Shyam had to be postponed due to the current coronavirus epidemic, like many other film productions throughout the world.
Actor Prabhas took to social media to publish the official promotional poster for Radge Shyam, announcing the new release date of January 14th, 2022 — coinciding with the Sankranthi holiday.
As of December 5th, Radhe Shyam’s release date had been officially pushed back another more, due to an increase of Omicron instances.
Pooja Hedge, the lead actor, sent a message to Twitter stating “We have been trying our best for the past few days but considering the growing cases of Omicron variant it looks like we will have to wait for our labor of love to get to the big screens.” – Pooja Hedge, via Twitter.
Ending the message, the actress said that the movie was out. “is a story about love vs destiny and we are sure that your love will help us rise over these tough times together.”
Unfortunately, a new release date for Radhe Shyam was not shared by the production team.
We have to postpone the release of our film #RadheShyam due to the ongoing covid situation. Our sincere thanks to all the fans for your unconditional love and support.

Where We Can Watch Radhe Shyam?
As of this writing, there is no public evidence that any of the big streaming services has bought international broadcasting rights.
It’s possible that a delay in the theatrical release of Radhe Shyam might impact the decision of the production team as to whether the film should be released for OTT streaming directly..
According to the Times of India, the film’s team wants it to be released initially in theatres “simply because it features attractive visual grandeur that can only be appreciated completely on the huge screens with supporting Dolby/DTS sound instead of watching it on mobiles and computers,”
Fans of Radhe Shyam may expect a big streaming provider to buy the film within the next few weeks, regardless of when it debuts in theatres or online.
T-Series has established a habit of making large partnerships with the main platforms over the past year, and this film is no exception.
Tata Sky’s latest original series, Shiddat, has already been released on major OTT platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, while T-Series’ own Haseen Dillruba and Sardar Ka Grandson have also been released on Netflix and Amazon Prime Video (Disney Hotstar).
