President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump Wishes Merry Christmas To Americans In A Second Greeting
President Trump and Melania Trump wished their fellow Americans a Merry Christmas at the White House on Friday.
In the declaration, the first couple recognized that this Christmas “might look different than in years past.”
But urged everyone to use the moment as an occasion to “show our heartfelt gratitude.”
In their statement, they stated that in this season of peace, they cherish the warmth, generosity, and faith that breathe life into their holiday gatherings. The love they share with their family and friends fills their hearts with joy, just as the story of Christ’s birth inspires people all over the world. They were going on to express appreciation for “their sacred right to worship freely.”
Holiday greetings to the men and women of the country in uniform, as well as their families.
They said to the military families who are unable to spend Christmas together this year, the country will humbly thank them for their commitment and dedication. All are forever grateful to those who bravely serve the country in uniform—and to those who walk beside them.
They also appreciated their nation’s first responders, law enforcement officials, and frontline medical practitioners who work diligently to support and defend our communities. They added that their everyday sacrifices are an example of the selfless love of God and remind everyone about the noble ideals that they aspire to live by. Particularly during this special period of the year.
The letter closes with the two wishing every American “very merry Christmas and a peaceful and prosperous New Year.”
The first family enjoyed their Christmas at their Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Fla. There the Commander-in-Chief hit the golf course Friday morning at his Trump International Golf Course.
It is not certain when the President will return to the White House. But he is supposed to return to Washington as soon as New Year’s Day.
