Cast

The Shelby-extended family will be returning for the brand new series, excluding John Shelby (Joe Cole) who was killed in his own family’s rivalry with the Italian crime-mob family the Changretta’s.

New characters to the show include; Sam Clafin (Hunger Games) who plays the role of a fascist politician Sir Oswald Mosley and Emmett J Scanlan (Hollyoaks) who play the role of Billy Grade.

Interestingly, the Weinstein Company, which changed into co-owned by means of disgraced manufacturer Harvey Weinstein, doesn’t appear within the credits for this season’s series, even though the organization becomes answerable for the United States distribution of Peaky Blinders.

Plot

Peaky Blinders’ Season 4 ended with the Shelby’s finally defeating the Changretta’s. While Tommy Shelby being elected as an MP, giving the family some political control in Birmingham.

Season five will show the problem Tommy has to deal with as an MP, with new enemies making new plans against him, and the Shelbys having to deal with the problems of the 1929 financial crash.

Will There Be A Season Six?

Due to the recent coronavirus, the pre-productions which had already begun for Season 6 is now halted for the time being.

It was originally stated for the 2021 release but that has been thrown into chaos caused by the spread of coronavirus, forcing filming to be postponed, with no future plans when the shooting will resume.

Any official news has not been released regarding its release but it is safe to assume it will release by the end of the year 2021.

The show’s runner, Steven Knight has said Peaky Blinders will have seven seasons in total, so fans will just have to be patient for now and wait for any official new to release.
