Noragami, a supernatural anime by studio Bones which also created Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood or My Hero Academia, aired in Winter 2014 and had a second season called Noragami Aragoto which aired in Fall 2015. More than five years have passed since then, but the manga is still ongoing. There are rumors that Noragami Season 3 may be in production once more.

Noragami follows Yato, a minor deity who refers to himself as Delivery God or her self-proclaimed title. His only wish is to have followers and unfortunately, this is no more than a pipe dream since he does not even have a shrine to speak off. Although he is currently penniless, our protagonist might just be able to find a way out.
Hiyori Iki, a high-schooler, pushes Yato out of the way of a bus and as a result, Hiyori s soul goes loose. This makes Hiyori often experience something akin to astral projection. Upon learning that Yato is a deity, Hiyori demands he helps her become human again.
Due to its abandonment, Hiyori’s soul is too tainted to return back to normal, and in order for her body to repair she needs a new god as a partner. She and Yato must find one before her time runs out.
Will There Be Noragami Season 3?
Season 2 of Noragami finished airing in 2015, almost one year after Season 1. This makes it seem unlikely that there will be a third season considering the show followed a tight schedule in previous seasons.
However, recent indications show that Season 3 might still happen… We’ll just have to wait and see. In 2020, rumors about Noragami Season 3 began circulating the internet. There hasn’t been any official statement about the third season of Noragami.
Since the manga has progressed significantly, with nearly ten new volumes released since then, there is enough source material to make a plausible season 3. However, we are yet to receive any official announcement about this or have a definitive answer on the matter.
