It is said that Jodie Turner-Smith has joined the cast of Sex Education’s fourth season. The actress is known for her parts in movies like “The Last Ship,” “Nightflyers,” and “Anne Boleyn,” among others.
Several actors are leaving the show, so the update comes as they say their goodbyes. Emma Mackey, who plays Maeve Wiley, and Ncuti Gatwa, who plays Eric, have recently said they will leave Sex Education after Season 4.
Before the fourth season’s filming started, some actors left Laurie Nunn’s TV program. This includes Simone Ashley, Patricia Allison, Tanya Reynolds, and Rakhee Thakkar, who played Olivia, Ola, Lily, and Emily Sands.
Fans are happy that Turner-Smith has joined the show’s cast, which has changed a lot lately. Even though neither the streaming service nor the show’s creators have confirmed the news, the actor hinted at her role in the show at the recent Bafta Film Awards.

The actress discussed her role in the hit show at the Bafta Film Awards in London on Sunday, February 19, 2023.
Jodie Turner-smith Said:
“You may or may not see me in a little Netflix show called Sex Education.”
When asked what happened, she said that Ncuti Gatwa was the reason for the change. The actress hinted that her character would be linked to Gatwa’s Eric, but she didn’t reveal much about her role.
The 36-year-old English star added, per Variety:
“First of all, all my scenes were with Ncuti Gatwa who – I DIE for him – and he’s my favorite character on the show…So when he called me and asked me to do it I was like, I don’t care how much they’re paying I’m doing.”
Reports say that her character will have something to do with Eric and could be in the UK, Nigeria, or Ghana.
Turner-Smith isn’t the only new member of the cast, though. Among the other new members are:

What Is Known So Far About Sex Education Season 4?
Since the third season came out on September 17, 2021, and filming for the fourth season didn’t start until the spring of 2022, the fourth season will likely air in late 2023.
