How Dis Helen Die In SEASON 3?

Helen Pierce was assassinated on Omar Navarro’s instructions. After Marty and Wendy learn about Helen’s plot to undermine them and convince Navarro to remove them from the enterprise, Byrdes devises a strategy to earn the drug lord’s confidence over Helen.

When Helen, Marty, and Wendy confront Navarro, it is revealed that Byrdes’ plot has succeeded, and Navarro chooses to kill Helen over Marty and Wendy.

Helen’s death surprised many people, including Marty and Wendy, on the broadcast. Her demise provided a dramatic conclusion to Season 3, although some fans think she did not need to die.

Chris Mundy Explained The Death’s Reason Of HELEN

Chris Mundy, showrunner, revealed to Entertainment Weekly why Helen and the Byrdes could not cohabitate:

“We envisioned the first part of the season as Marty vs. Wendy, which Wendy ultimately wins, and then it shifts to this shaky alliance between Wendy and Helen, and by extension, Wendy and Marty vs. Helen.

By the end, we wanted to maintain the tension that these two things cannot coexist; someone has to win this struggle because Navarro will not tolerate anything unstable, and he will have to choose aside.

The whole last episode begins tentatively, since there is the aftermath from events in episode 9, and once it gets going, we didn’t want it to stop until the very last possible second.”

Additionally, Mundy explained why Navarro ultimately chose Marty and Wendy over Helen:

“As excellent as Helen is, the world has other attorneys. However, Wendy and Marty have already accomplished two impossible feats for him. One is obtaining a casino through which to launder money in the first place, which is akin to the money laundering holy grail.

And the second is that, at least in Navarro’s estimation, their claim that they had the FBI on their side and can sway the US government’s participation in the drug war against their competitors is something that nearly no one else can accomplish, which effectively shifted the scales in their favor.”
