The Hangover movies are a series of films that always make us laugh. The funny story was told for the first time to an audience in 2009 when the first production occurred. The second movie came out in 2011, and the third in 2013. So, are there more things to come?
The “wolfpack” is a group of four friends: Doug, Phil, Stu, and Alan. We meet them in the first movie. Two days before Doug’s wedding, the synopsis says, they go to Las Vegas for the bachelor party to end all bachelor parties. And the party gets so crazy that when the three groomsmen wake up the morning after the party, they have no idea what happened. And what is their biggest issue? Doug can’t be found!
The second Hangover movie is set two years after the first one. This time, Stu is the one getting married. The synopsis says he’s doing it in Thailand, where his bride is from. The groom doesn’t want the same thing to happen again as what happened in Vegas two years ago. So he tries to play it safe, but with his best friends Phil and Alan there, that will be harder than he thinks.
The Hangover Part III. The two movies have made more than $1.4 billion. (via the numbers) After the original movie’s phenomenal success, it was almost certain that there would be a lot of sequels, but the quality of the sequels has been getting worse and worse over time. Hangover 4 has yet to be officially confirmed. We’re hoping to see this movie in the future. But Zack Galifianakis’s Wild Hangover 4 Plan Could Save It.
Zach Galifianakis Wants Hangover 4 To Be Animated
Galifianakis, however, has a plan for Hangover 4 that could bring the franchise back from the dead. It’s no secret that each new Hangover movie got worse than the last, but Galifianakis’s comments are a hopeful update on the franchise. Extra TV asked the actor what it would take for him to come back to The Hangover series.
The actor said, “Maybe if they made a Pixar version of it…a version that is good for the whole family.” The Hangover franchise has been dormant for a while, and the last movie in the series came out in 2013. Galifianakis’s out-of-the-box thinking could bring it back to life, though.
The actor might have said that because Ron’s Gone Wrong, the movie he promoted during the interview, is an animated film. (Though not from Pixar). But he also said that he had been writing it. Given Galifianakis’s SNL comedy background, you should also take that with a grain of salt.
He also said, “I sent it to the other guys, and they sent me videos of them burning it.” But since Galifianakis is a writer, he may have been writing down ideas, even though he didn’t write any previous movies in the series.
