‘In the Dark,’ created by Corinne Kingsbury for The CW, is a violent and melancholy criminal drama television series. Murphy Mason has been fully blind since the age of 14 due to a rare illness called retinitis pigmentosa. 

Murphy’s self-destructive lifestyle, now in her twenties, does not sit well with most people. However, the possibility of her close friend Tyson’s unexpected death and the accompanying inquiry keeps her going.

At the same time, Murphy must juggle her active dating life with dull work at a guide dog school. When the series premiered in April 2019, it received widespread praise for its interesting characters and intriguing stories; however, some reviewers criticized the storyline’s overarching negativity about impairments. 

However, considering the depressing conclusion to the third season, you’re probably thinking about the likelihood of a follow-up. In that case, allow us to keep you updated on season 4.

Dark Season 4 Release Date

Season 3 of  Dark’ debuted on The CW on June 23, 2021, with the finale airing on October 6, 2021. The third season consists of thirteen episodes, each lasting an average of 42 minutes.

Now, let us share what we know about season 4’s development. You’ll be relieved to discover that the fourth season has been confirmed. 

The original network renewed the program for a fourth season on February 3, 2021, months before the third season’s broadcast. The fourth season is scheduled to begin filming on November 29, 2021, and end on May 6, 2022.

The program is scheduled as part of The CW’s midseason schedule, and if previous editions are any indicator, we may anticipate ‘In the Dark’ season 4 to air in Q2 2022. 

On the other hand, Netflix subscribers will have to wait longer to catch up on the season. Typically, new seasons of The Walking Dead are released on the streaming site eight days following the season finale.

Dark Season 4 Plot

As with the previous seasons, the third chapter maintains a high level of suspense by keeping viewers guessing about the central mystery. However, spectators are in for a surprise in the season finale. 

Jess, Murphy, and the rest of the niche group are stuck in a rut, and their screaming and toxicity spiral out of hand. Throughout the season, we find Murphy confronted with difficulty. 

Finally, she decides to turn herself into the police. She wishes for the pals to resume their normal lives. However, it may take them some time to unravel.

The fourth season will almost certainly begin immediately after the conclusion of the third season. We will learn whether Murphy is prosecuted for her crimes or not.

However, given the corruption within the police department and the inconsistencies within the case itself, Murphy may escape without incident.
