The FOX show Call Me Kat, based on the British Miranda television series, stars Mayim Bialik, Swoosie Kurtz, Kyla Pratt, Cheyenne Jackson, Leslie Jordan, and Julian Gant.
The story follows Kat (Bialik), a woman who battles society (and her mother) every day to prove that she can live a happy and fulfilled life despite being unmarried at the age of 39. Kat’s mother, Sheila (Kurtz), regards her daughter’s unmarried status as a personal failure.
Kat quits her job as a college lecturer at the University of Louisville to open a cat café with the money her parents set aside for her wedding. Randi (Pratt), an artist, and Phil (Jordan), a baker, are Kat’s friends. While Kat is enjoying her freedom, her plans to stay single indefinitely begin to unravel when her previous crush and close friend, Max (Jackson), visits town. Max accepts a job as a bartender at a piano bar across the street from Kat’s, where he collaborates with his friend Carter (Gant).

Meanwhile, after a long wait, Max finally finds a fantastic opportunity to advance his music career.
The sitcom’s potential season 3 will most likely investigate the ramifications of the second season’s life-altering events. Will Kat’s plan be successful in keeping the kitty café open?
