Local content producers have been vying for more than 1.3 billion eyes ever since internet streaming gained popularity in India. Companies with distinct positions suddenly find themselves fighting in the same arena: Hotstar, TVF, Voot, MX Player, and ALTBalaji, to name a few. In such a crowded market, the Voot Original, ‘Asur,’ has become the talk of the town, with worldwide potential.
‘Asur’ is a crime thriller that successfully mixes Hindu mythology with forensic science. The suspense-filled serial killer thriller has maturely formed characters and multiple jaw-dropping shocks.
Asur Season 2 Release Date
Asur is gearing up for a triumphant return with its much anticipated second season! Arshad Warsi and Barun Sobti, who starred in the first season, have begun filming Asur 2, the highly awaited psychological thriller.
Asur’s second season is being marketed as another enthralling narrative that will keep fans intrigued, aroused, and involved.
Arshad Warsi, who portrays Dhananjay Singh in Asur 2, said, “I am pleased to resume filming.” As far as my job is concerned, Asur has been one of the most fortunate things that ever occurred to me.
It was my digital debut, and with season 1 being such a success, I’m quite interested to see how our second season will do.
As we resume filming, the whole crew is energized and committed to taking season 2 to the next level. When a first season is good, there is usually an element of pressure and worry. However, it is the ideal sort of pressure since it motivates you to do better and brings out the best in everyone.”
Asur Season 2 Plot
The second season of ‘Asur’ is expected to expand the scope of the “sur-asur,” or good vs. evil conflict. Rasool is shown to be the serial murderer, Shubh, with near-certainty.
Dhananjay is seen locking his eyes with Rasool/Shubh at the conclusion. It means that the two will engage in another cat-and-mouse pursuit.
We watched a cat and mouse game between a vicious serial murderer and a CBI team led by forensic officer Nikhil Nair (Barun Sobti) and Dhananjay Rajpoot in the first season (Arshad Warsi).
The second season promises further excitement as the game of “sur-asur,” or good against evil, unfolds. Almost immediately after the first season concluded, it became evident that Shubh (serial murderer) was not alone.
We may see the CBI squad take on a gang of serial murders and crooks motivated by nefarious motives in the forthcoming season. Season 2 will be just as engaging and thrilling as the first.
Additionally, it is implied that Shubh may not be alone. This adds an element of suspense to the story since it deviates from the cliché of the lone serial murderer. Apart from that, it expands the scope of the plot. The CBI may have to cope with many crooks plotting something horrific in the second season.
