XCOM: Surprising Announcement, 2k Games And Chimera Squad Available For Fans Later This Month

2K Games and Firaxis made a surprising announcement on April 14 citing the release of XCOM: Chimero Squad. This game is a standalone follow-up to XCOM 2. In other words, we will be seeing humans and aliens working together in the game.

It is, in fact, similar to XCOM 2 in many ways. Chimera Squad takes to incorporate new kinds of tactics giving a flavor os sci-fi to hype the players.

Fans are going to experience this game sooner than expected. 2K announced the release date on April 24, 2020. XCOM 2 was released four years back in 2016. However, not everyone is excited about this release because developer Firaxis has announced it for an only PC release.

The game follows the events of XCOM 2 five years later. Humans and aliens are working together to mold a civilization of cooperation and co-existence. But not everyone seems to be fine with their suspicious alliance. Your job is to command a group of humans and aliens. City 31 is seen under threat and it is up to the squad to ensure their safety. City 31 is a model of peace in a post-invasion world.

The Chimero squad has unique personalities making the game superior to the previous version of XCOM.

The most notable changes can be seen in the character development. In addition to the 11 distinct agents, they have set personalities and abilities. This feature enables the players to use their powers synergistically. the order alternates based on an automated initiative roll.

Another change is Breach mode. This is a new round that starts before the battle. The breach mode allows the players to use different character abilities so that they can enter combat strategically.

These new features, as per lead designer Mark Nauta, will revolutionize how the game plays. The game’s experience will be quite similar to the previous version, which was loved by gaming communities all over the world.
