There is a rumor that in Skeleton Crew on Disney+, the force witches from Star Wars will finally be shown in real life.
Before, it was known that Ahsoka would be exploring a new part of space that had never been seen before and that Thrawn would be the main bad guy.
It was also said that that show introduced new ideas that will be used in other shows in the future.
The same reports also said that Ivanna Sakhno would play a Nightsister or Lightsister in the show that Rosario Dawson would lead. These aliens were last seen in the animated show Clone Wars.
A new rumor says they’ll be in another Star Wars project soon.
Is Witches Are Coming Back To Star Wars?
Thanks to Making Star Wars, fans now have more information about the Skeleton Crew and a possible force witch in the streaming series.
The outlet said that the Disney+ show led by Jude Law would connect to the Ahsoka series by looking into where The Nightsisters came from. The group of force users, also called witches, was first seen in The Clone Wars, and it is said that they will appear in Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka.
The Nightsisters are an old group that used to live on Dathomir, which is where Darth Maul came from. They are also connected to Asajj Ventress, a Sith who lived during the Clone Wars. They often use the dark side of the force, but unlike the Sith, they don’t let it control them.
The report said they have seen pictures of masks for the productions, including confirmation of “Weequays, Baradas, Mon Cals, Rodians,” and other “greatest hits.”
Making Star Wars pointed out a Weequay that looked a lot like Hondo Ohnoka, who was also in The Clone Wars, but they couldn’t confirm anything other than the fact that the alien was wearing goggles.
Why ‘Skeleton Crew’ Will Be So Important to Star Wars
As interesting as the Jedi are, the Star Wars series has never done an excellent job of showing how other people use force. Jedi and Sith, who use lightsabers, are not the only ones obsessed with the energy and its powers.
The Nightsisters are a good example, but there are others, like the Path cult seen in Phase 2 of Lucasfilms’ High Republic publishing project.
Even though it seems like Ivanna Sakhno’s witch will appear in Ahsoka, if she is a Nightsister or Lightsister, the character will probably also appear in Skeleton Crew.
Also, if Ahsoka is exploring as many new ideas as has been said, and if some of that makes it into Skeleton Crew, the new show will be much more important than anyone thought.
That’s even more true if the series led by Jude Law does make Hondo a live-action character since he hasn’t left the animation world yet. But at Disney’s Galaxy’s Edge, he does have a lifelike robot.
Since The Mandalorian came out, there has been a strong trend of combining live-action and animation. Fans will likely be thrilled to hear that even more of their favorite projects will be shown on screen.
Ahsoka and Skeleton Crew are both set to come out in 2023. Ahsoka will come out in August of that year.
