Hissrich also told GamesRadar+ that Simon Callow, who plays Codringher, and Lizz Carr, who plays Fenn, will be back for the third season.
There are also going to be four new actors. Meng’er Zhang, who played Shang-Chi in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, will play Milva, “a human who was raised by the dryads of Brokilon Forest.” She is also called a “ferocious and skilled huntress.”

And the stories have gone in so many different directions. Nenneke is in a lot of books. But, you know, it depends on what they want to do with this version.”
Redanian Intelligence (opens in new tab) says that one of the main bad guys in season 2 has also been recast. Rience, who was played by Chris Fulton before, seems to have left the show. Photos from the set show that The Crown’s Sam Woolf will now play the mage.
What Do We Know About The Plot Of The Witcher Season 3?
Most likely, the third season will pick up where the second one left off, with the main characters running away from The Brotherhood, the Elves, and the Wild Hunt.
In an interview, showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich said that Season 3 will be based on the Time of Contempt saga, in which Ciri is hidden at the magical academy Aretuza, where Yennifer also learned magic.
When Did Season 3 Of The Witcher End?
Good news, fans of “The Witcher”: season three is over. Fans have been sharing a sweet note that lead actor Henry Cavill left for the cast and crew on the last day of filming. It said, “Thank you for making this movie.” “This has been quite a season! I just wanted to say thanks for everyone’s hard work and determination during a tough shoot. I hope you can all get a good night’s sleep.”
Back in April, the official Netflix account for the show posted a picture of Henry Cavill and other cast members (likely Freya Allan) on set in a very snowy winter wonderland to mark the start of filming.
The tweet said, “Our family is back together again, and production on Season 3 of #TheWitcher has begun!”
Then, in July 2022, Netflix released a statement (via Hollywood Reporter) saying that filming had stopped because of COVID and that it would start again as soon as it was safe to do so.
