Ed Sheeran’s voice and appearance on Game of Thrones are always mysterious. He continues to confuse people with his seductive voice, ginger hair, and many tattoos.
But even with lyrics like “grab on my waist and put that body on me” and “your love was handcrafted for someone like me,” which make prom chaperones blush with the fury of a thousand Sheeran strands, Sheeran still needed more credibility.
“Monster” shows that every great song needs Jay-Z, not a Nicki verse. Unfortunately, J-Hova wasn’t interested.
Sheeran told Rolling Stone, “We Were in Touch.” ” I sent him the song, and he said, “I don’t think it needs a rap verse.” He was right. He can hear very, very well. Most of the time, he gets things right. It was a natural and polite pass.”
After writing “Shape of You,” he thought Jay would be great for a rap verse on the song, so he sent Jay the music to listen to.
After hearing the song, though, Jay turned down the invitation. He told Dad-of-two Ed, “I don’t think the song needs a rap verse.”
Ed said it was a “very natural, respectful way” to work together, and Jay was “probably right,” he said.

We like to think that Jay’s lack of interest has something to do with Sheeran being a self-described “nerd” who, according to a Rolling Stone profile, watches “North by Northwest in Peter Jackson’s home screening room with fellow New Zealand resident James Cameron and family also in attendance,” because, well, we’re mad at him too.
Sheeran starts talking about how much he loves the most popular things in the world by saying, “I love Lord of the Rings.” “I love Pokémon. I love playing Lego and Warhammer, and no, I’m not supposed to be cool.”
This didn’t stop the song from being famous. It’s currently number 10 on Billboard’s list of the most fantastic Hot 100 singles, mainly made up of wedding songs like “blinding lights” by The Weeknd and “smooth” by Santana and Rob Thomas.
If the “shape of you” push had gone to the Fat Boys’ version of “The Twist,” it’s likely that it would have done better on the charts. It is still possible to get a new remix. It writes: “Chubby Checker and Ed Sheeran love the shape of You Are Gonna Do the Twist.”
Ed, who was in the band Shivers, is getting ready to release his next album, which will be called “-” (pronounced “subtract”) and will come out on May 5. All of his albums have symbols instead of traditional names.
The musician has also said that he plans to make five more albums, each of which will be named after a symbol, and that the last one won’t come out until after his death.
In the same Rolling Stone interview, he said, “I want to slowly make this “perfect” album for the rest of my life, adding songs here and there, and just put it in my will so that it comes out after I die.”
This comes after it was announced that Ed would make a four-part TV show called The Sum of It All about his life. It will be available to stream on Disney+ starting May 3.
