The show takes place in recent-day Europe. It works as a re-thinking of the traditional H.G Wells book. The show displayed stories of a Martian attack. The experience is felt by an unnamed male storyteller and his brother.
The tale is revealed a few years before the attack. The storyteller is discussed seeing one of the rays of light on the outside of Mars. He warns his friend, famous scientist Ogilvy.
Spring one morning, a collapsing actor looks across England. It sounds at Horsell common, a vast range of common land near the narrator’s house in Maybury.
