Sword Art Online Season 5 Release Date Speculation
The fourth season of ‘Sword Art Online (English dub)’ was published on Netflix on February 6, 2022.
There are 25 episodes in total, each lasting about 24-25 minutes. The anime ran on Japanese television from October 13, 2019, to September 20, 2020, before becoming available on Netflix. So far, this is all we know about the anime’s fifth season.
As of yet, no announcements have been made by the show’s producers, including Studio A-1 Pictures. Fans of Reki Kawahara’s manga series should not despair just yet, since there are still more volumes to be translated.
Both the Moon Cradle and the Unital Ring arcs are strong rivals for the storyline emphasis of the upcoming chapter. With only two volumes, it’s unlikely to provide a suitable foundation upon which to build.

Only OVAs and stand-alone films based on the Moon Cradle plot will be produced. According to Kawahara, Unital Ring will be shorter than Alicization.
This will surely be the motivation for the following instalment, regardless of how many volumes there are.
The fifth season’s release date is unknown as long as the Unital Ring arc isn’t completed.
The film ‘Sword Art Online Progressive: Scherzo of a Dark Dust’ is set to be released in 2022, but anime lovers should expect a long wait due to the production timetable and other issues.
However, because to the series’ success in the anime industry, its comeback is almost certain, as artists will not leave two major manga arcs unadapted for animation.
