Real Steel 2 Release Date: Is It Coming Soon Or Not?

Real Steel is a science fiction movie directed by Shawn Levy and based on Richard Matheson’s short tale “Steel.” In a dystopian 2020 world when human boxers have been replaced by robots, Hugh Jackson plays the former boxer Charlie Kenton, whose son has been estranged from him.

Together, they repair a sparring robot and use it to compete in several events. With a $110 million budget, Real Steel made $299.3 million at the global box office during its 2011 debut. In this post, we will talk about Real Steel 2 Release date or Not.

Real Steel 2 Release Date

Real Steel 2 does not have an official release date, but the possibility of its eventual development and release can’t be entirely ruled out. Although the original film was an economic success and had a wide narrative scope, there has been no official announcement of a sequel to Real Steel.

In Real Steel’s climactic fight, Atom, the robot Charlie rebuilds after losing to the unbeaten global champion robot Zeus by decision. For those who haven’t seen the movie, be aware that there are spoilers ahead. even though the first movie’s plot can be considered self-contained. Perhaps it will serve as a springboard for more movies.

Should We Still Expect a ‘Real Steel 2’?

With Atom’s future in World Robot Boxing seemingly certain, it was the ideal scenario for a sequel. Project plans surfaced very quickly, with filmmaker Levy regularly communicating with DreamWorks Co-Chairman/CEO Stacey Snider in 2011. Though the filmmaker did mention that it was still in development, there was still no sequel by 2014. That year at the Toronto International Film Festival, Levy provided a more detailed description of the sequel’s location.

“For the past three and a half years, we have been discreetly working on a Real Steel sequel. We’ve written some really good scripts, but Hugh and I would only produce it if the character journeys and the storyline felt new, which we’ve discovered occasionally but never simultaneously.

It is still going on. I am aware that time is running out. Radio silence for a while. Nothing verified, nothing speculated, nothing. Presumably, the hunt for a script that satisfied the standards that both he and Jackman were aiming for was still unattainable.
