The second season of R.I.P.D. will come out in November 2022. On November 15, 2022, only people in the United States will be able to watch it on Netflix. What you need to know is listed below.
This new movie is a sequel to the first one, which came out in 2013 and starred Jeff Bridges and Ryan Reynolds. At the time, people thought the movie was one of the biggest flops of the year.
The movie R.I.P.D. 2: Rise of the Damned was written by Paul Leyden and Andrew Klein.
The movie was mostly made in secret, and only a few reports have come out about it in recent months, including the fact that it was given a PG-13 rating in mid-August 2022.
Here’s the official plot summary for the next movie:
“Set in the American West of 1876, ‘R.I.P.D.2: Rise of the Damed’ is a spiritual (pardon the pun) sequel to 2013’s ‘R.I.P.D.’ Sheriff Roy Pulsipher isn’t too thrilled about finding himself dead after a shoot-out with a notorious outlaw gang, but he does get a second chance to return to earth after being recruited by the R.I.P.D. (Rest In Peace Department.). But avenging his own murder may have to take a back seat to save the world when a gateway to hell is opened in the old mining town of Red Creek threatening not only the locals… but all of humanity itself.”
Among the cast for the new movie includes:
- Jeffrey Donovan (Burn Notice, Fargo)
- Richard Fleeshman (Call the Midwife)
- Jake Choi (Single Parents)
- Kerry Knuppe (Pachinko)
- Tilly Keeper (EastEnders)
R.I.P.D. 2: Rise of the Damned will stay on Netflix US’s streaming service for three years after it comes out in November. It will leave in 2025.
As part of Netflix’s ongoing deal with Universal 1440 and the home entertainment division of Universal Studios, R.I.P.D. 2: Rise of the Damned will be available on Netflix US.
The deal means that Netflix will get the same movies on the same day that they come out on DVD and VOD.
The deal gave Netflix money in 2022. The Munsters and Blade of the 47 Ronin, both made by Rob Zombie, will be on Netflix in late October 2022.
In the past, the service has added movies like Bobbleheads: The Movie, American Pie Presents Girls’ Rules, Dragonheart: Vengeance, and Tremors: Shrieker Island.
