Park Bom, who first appeared in the public eye in 2009 as a member of the group 2NE1, quickly won the hearts of fans with her singles “Fire,” “I Don’t Care,” and “Can’t Nobody.”
Why are Fans Concerned about Park Bom Health?
Since the year 2020, concerns have been voiced about Park Bom’s health. Her fans took note of her weight gain at last year’s 56th Daejong Film Awards ceremony.
She blamed her increased size on her newfound interest in fitness and nutrition at the time. She decided to lose weight, so she went on a diet and ultimately shed 11 kg.
However, she reignited discussions of her health problems when she graced POPSTIVAL in the Philippines in 2022 and appeared to have gained weight again. Numerous Fans and internet users were worried about the clear change in her appearance.
According to a video posted by Lee Jin Ho, a former entertainment reporter turned YouTube star, Park Bom has ADD and struggles to maintain a healthy weight. This allegedly began when she was still a member of the group 2NE1.
A former YG employee allegedly stated that the K-pop singer was difficult to manage when under pressure. She had a hard time maintaining a healthy weight since she frequently engaged in binge eating. It was noted in her fashion choices that she, too, acted on the spur of the moment.
At the time, her rapid weight gain raised concerns that she was under a tremendous deal of emotional strain.
Despite the speculation, Park Bom’s management has denied there are any health problems with the actress. It reasoned that the hitmaker must have put on weight as a result of her inactivity. She decided to start working out and eating better to put an end to the conversations and get back in shape.

The K-BLAST Epic Party will take place on November 24 at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds, and both artists will be performing there. The organizers have hinted that more acts than just Park Bom and Minzy will be performing at the event. So far, there are no words on the ticket costs and sale dates.
The K-pop industry is notorious for its unattainable beauty standards. Fans and critics alike have taken issue with Park Bom’s recent weight gain.
However, it is undeniable that she has been making every effort to get back in shape and perform as she used to despite the health risks. She has disprovened the theory that her skill for singing and dancing contributed to her weight gain.
So, it could be true that she is set to release a new album of her own, given her current state of health and recent activity in the music field. If this does happen, it will be the reunion that she and 2NE1 fans have been waiting for.
