At San Diego Comic-Con 2022, Disney will unveil the first trailer for its upcoming family-friendly adventure series National Treasure: Edge of History.
The short clip, which was unveiled at the 2022 Comic-Con International in San Diego, is the first look at the upcoming Disney+ series, which will be a spinoff from the original National Treasure films starring Nicolas Cage.
The official title for National Treasure: Edge of History was recently revealed by Disney, but the series itself was announced in 2020. In 2021, Disney+ has ordered a 10-episode first season of the spinoff series. Jerry Bruckheimer, the producer of the original National Treasure films, is also attached to the series and teased a sequel to the original Cage-led film for both streaming and “the big screen.”

National Treasure Edge Of History Release Date
National Treasure: Edge of History does not yet have a release date. However, the original National Treasure films are available on Disney+.

National Treasure Edge Of History Cast
Lisette Alexis stars as Jess, a “brilliant and resourceful DREAMer in search of answers about her family,” according to Disney+. The show will follow Jess on her quest to find a Pan-American treasure. According to Deadline, Catherine Zeta-Jones plays Billie, a “badass billionaire, black-market antiquities expert.”

According to Deadline, Lyndon Smith will play FBI Agent Ross, and Zuri Reed will play Jess’ best friend Tasha. Jordan Rodrigues joins the cast as Ethan, another of Jess’ best friends, and Antonio Cipriano will play Oren, a “lovable but self-obsessed goofball,” according to Deadline. Jake Austin Walker will play Liam, a musician from a treasure-hunting family.
Harvey Keitel will reprise his role as Peter Sandusky from the films in the series, it was announced at the San Diego Comic-Con 2022. Earlier this year, Disney+ announced that Justin Bartha would return as Ben’s best friend Riley Poole.
