After her interview on “Good Morning America,” Mindy Kaling made fun of rumors that co-host Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes were having an affair. The “Office” actor tweeted on Thursday, “Good Morning America is trending because I was on it, right?”
Kaling was on the morning show to talk about the launch of Mindy’s Book Studio and its first book, “The Vibrant Years” by Sonali Dev. Robach, 49, and Holmes, 45, made news about their relationship the day before the 43-year-old showed up.
The Daily Mail got pictures of the couple holding hands and getting close during multiple outings in upstate New York and Manhattan that were published on Wednesday.
Reports say that the journalists had an affair for months and broke up with their spouses in August. They haven’t said anything about this, and neither did their colleagues on Thursday’s show. Robach and Holmes, on the other hand, have both shut down their Instagram accounts.
Holmes married Marilee Fiebig in 2010, and they have a daughter together named Sabine, who is 9 years old. On the other hand, Robach has been married to Andrew Shue since 2010. Shue, who is 55 years old, took Robach off Instagram after the scandal. Fiebig is an immigration lawyer who is 45 years old. His account is private.
Holmes’ 10th-anniversary tribute to the attorney has gone viral after the Daytime Emmy nominee joked in March 2020 about the “reasons, excuses, and opportunities” he gave Fiebig to leave their marriage. “As a black woman, she already had a superpower, and she used it to show grace and patience that I can’t understand,” the former CNN anchor wrote. “It would be too much to ask her for another 10 years.
“Another ten months? “That might even be going too far,” he said. “If she gave me 10 more weeks, I’d think I was lucky. I’d be grateful if she could put up with me for another 10 days. But if she could give me 10 more minutes of her time today, I would feel very lucky.”
