The highly-anticipated anime series Made in Abyss has returned with season 2, premiering this week. Directed by Masayuki Kojima and written by Hideyuki Kurata, the show is based on manga of the same name. It follows the story of Riko, an orphan who lives near a mysterious hole in the Earth known as The Abyss. After discovering her mother may be waiting for her in the depths of the Abyss, Riko and her robot companion Reg embark on a journey that will change them forever. Made In Abyss Season 2 Release Date?
Made in Abyss Season 2, episode 1 is set to premiere on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, as part of the Summer anime season lineup. The episode will first air in Japan on AT-X at 22:30 Japanese time, with subsequent episodes airing at the same time each week. The series is licensed by Sentai Filmworks, the owners of the streaming service HIDIVE, and is expected to be released in digital and home video formats. HIDIVE has confirmed that they will be streaming Made in Abyss Season 2 one hour after the premiere in Japan.

Which Studio Is Behind The Creation Of The Highly Anticipated Second Season Of “Made In Abyss”?
Kinema Citrus, the same studio responsible for the films and the first season, will produce the second season of Made in Abyss.
The second season of The Rising of the Shield Hero by Kinema Citrus was criticized for its animation quality during the spring of 2022. This television series was co-produced by DR Movie.
All of the key members from Made in Abyss’s first season and the new movie are returning for the second season.
Masayuki Kojima will direct the new series for the first time since the release of the film two years ago.
Hideyuki Kurata is composing the script once again, as he did for Goblin Slayer and Girls’ Frontline recently.
The opening theme for Made in Abyss Season 2 will be performed by Riko Azuna, who recently performed the popular ending theme for Trapped in a Dating Sim.
MYTH & ROID, who performed the ending for the first two seasons of Overlord, will perform the outro.

Made in Abyss Season 2 is set to have a total of 12 episodes and will be exclusively available on the streaming platform HIDIVE. The first season of the show, as well as the three movies, can also be found on the platform.
