Symere Bysil Woods aka Lil Uzi Vert, is an American rapper. On June 18, a Facebook book circulated a false news. The title of the page was R.I.P, the about section of the page had an account of Lil Uzis demise.
The page posted about his demise, and stated that he died on Thursday June 18 at around 11a.m ET. The page further shed some light on his personal life and asked for support and comments.
Soon, the fans got frenzied and Facebook was flooded with condolence post. But, some fans grew skeptical. No big media house was covering such a news.
This caused curiosity, since he is a high profile rapper. Finally, on Friday, 19th July, 2020, the reps of the rapper confirmed it to be a celebrity hoax. They confirmed that he was alive and doing well.
