The Globe claims that Kurt Russell suffers from a cancerous flesh-eating disease.
The 65-year-old Hateful 8 actor has reportedly been spotted with unsightly sores beneath his lower lip that is thought to be caused by Peutz-Jeghers syndrome (PJS), which has been linked to intestinal cancer.
The lifetime risk of cancer for people with PJS “may be as high as 93 percent,” claims Cancer.Net.
Dr. Stuart Fischer, who does not treat Kurt, claims that the lesions are “precancerous lesions that can become aggressive and dangerous if not treated immediately and properly.”
Dr. Fischer believes Kurt needs therapy as soon as possible and speculates that PJS may be to blame for the sores. Immunologist and Maryland resident Dr. Gabe Mirkin agrees.
According to the Globe, Kurt and his 71-year-old long-term partner Goldie Hawn have recently fought.
Kurt Russell Will Undergo Surgery
Kurt, whose name is already on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, was set to be inducted into Oklahoma City’s Hall of Great Western Performers in October.
