Kakegurui Season 3

Kakegurui Season 3 Release Date: Renewal Status & Cancellation in 2022!

Entertainment

In the anime series “Kakegurui,” students at Hyakkou Private Academy, an exclusive school that pushes them to develop their gambling abilities instead of rating them based on their academic competence or even athletic performance, follow the fortunes of the students in the series.

Yumeko Jabami, a transfer student and obsessive gambler, joins the fray and brings the worst players to their knees in shame. The anime was initially shown in 2017 (and then made its way to Netflix in 2018), and it now has two seasons with a total of 12 episodes available.

Given that it’s been many years after the release of the second season, which was titled “Kakegurui xx,” it’s about time for the third season to premiere. Right?

After accounting for production delays caused by the COVID-19 epidemic, fans have been waiting for a new season of “Kakegurui” for quite some time. However, this has not occurred as of yet. Listed below is all we know so far regarding the possibility of a new season of episodes for this beloved shonen anime.

Kakegurui Season 3 Release Date

According to Netflix and the MAPPA, there is currently no official word on whether or not the program will be renewed at this time. Even if the show is broadcast on Netflix, this does not imply that Netflix has the last say in producing it.

Although Netflix has licensing rights to the series outside of Japan, it does not have the right to renew the series. MAPPA and the Japanese broadcast networks will decide whether or not to proceed with the series. But, let’s keep our fingers crossed that we will hear about the renewal announcement shortly.

It should also be highlighted that any intentions to continue the show would have been jeopardized due to the current COVID-19 scenario, which is now in effect.

Although production will not be fully halted due to the issue, it will almost probably be hampered. Many people projected that the next season would have launched in the autumn of 2020, but our best bet currently is that it will premiere in the fall of 2022 instead.

Kakegurui Season 3 Plot

The story of ‘Kakegurui’ takes place against the background of the Hyakkaou Private Academy, a school where children from wealthy, powerful political and commercial families go to further their education.

On the other hand, this institution operates on a hierarchical basis. Students are classified into sections depending on their success in gambling games rather than sports or academics.

The student council is ruled by those who make the most monetary donations. This foundation supports a gambling system where students must wager their fortunes against one another after class.

The victors are given the choice of serving on the governing side, but the losers are reduced to the status of enslaved people or pets. Elite rulers also gained popularity, new contacts, and a distinguished position due to their efforts.

The “house pets,” on the other hand, are required to perform according to the whims of the bosses. If students cannot pay off all of their debts by the time they graduate, they will be forced to spend the rest of their lives paying them off.

Unexpectedly, a visitor shows up on the scene one day. The academy receives a strange new student called Jabami Yumeko, who has been moved there.

Even though she seems simple and charming on the surface, she is a gambling addict who enjoys the rush that comes from taking calculated chances.

Jabami does not engage in gambling to gain financial or social gains. She disregards established laws and reasoning, and she has extraordinary attention to detail, which allows her to see straight through gaming frauds.

Following her arrival, the school’s hierarchy is thrown into disarray, prompting the student council to devise several strategies to bring her down.

It should come as no surprise to anybody who has seen the anime series ‘Kakegurui’ because this live-action drama adaptation follows a similar plot arc, with a few minor differences.

The majority of the events and action moments in the film seem to be familiar. It’s a great series because of the excellent performances, which are occasionally a little overdramatic, making it more intriguing.

When you watch Yumeko quickly figure out the tactics of difficult gambling games, it is intriguing to see how she manages to have so much fun and enjoy herself while doing so. In other words, if you like the first anime version, you should check out its sequel.
