The HBO comedy series ‘Insecure,’ created by Issa Rae and Larry Wilmore, follows Issa and Molly, two best friends who are figuring out their careers, friendships, and relationships while still residing in their hometown of South Los Angeles.
In addition to depicting the lives of the two friends, the program also explores the intricacies of the current African-American experience.
Awkward Black Girl is based on Issa Rae’s web series of the same name. The series follows two friends as they navigate through the difficulties they confront and overcome with the aid of one another.
After its first release on October 9, 2016, the drama series went on to win widespread appreciation from reviewers and audiences alike.
Several Primetime Emmy and Golden Globe nominations were received for the program during the season-long run of the show.
After five thought-provoking, engaging, and visually gorgeous chapters, fans of the program must be impatiently awaiting news on the show’s sixth season, which is now in production. You can count on us to be your buddy in this situation.

Unfortunately, we will have to say goodbye to this great Issa Rae-produced series since it is not expected to return for a sixth season. Rather, the show will be canceled.
The fact that the series will not be returning is not a surprise, given the season 5 finale seemed to wrap up every loose thread that needed to be tied.
