‘Insatiable’ is an American online series that combines dark humor and drama elements.
It is now available on Netflix. It was developed by Lauren Gussis, whose prior work includes the television series ‘Dexter.’ For those unfamiliar with the series, it is based on an essay by Jeff Chu published in the New York Times and was headlined ‘The Pageant King of Alabama.’
The plot of the series revolves around a humiliated and unsatisfied civil lawyer who decides to take on the role of a beauty pageant coach. He takes on a tormented and resentful adolescent as a client, completely unaware of what he is about to unleash on the rest of the world.
Netflix produces a lot of adolescent dramas, and most of them are well received by their intended demographic.
Insatiable seems to have missed the target, according to Rotten Tomatoes, which summarises the program as follows: “Broad stereotypes, sloppy social criticism, and a failed effort at wokeness make ‘Insatiable’ difficult to stomach.”
August 10, 2018, marked the launch of the adolescent drama’s first episode. Despite the negative feedback, the program was renewed for a second season, which premiered on October 11, 2019, and is still in production.
The issue now is whether or not there will be a third season of Insatiable. Here’s what we know about the situation.
Insatiable Season 3 Release Date
The second season of Insatiable premiered on Netflix in early October 2019. Nonetheless, Netflix took an unusually long time to decide on the destiny of the series.
While watching the second season, fans eagerly awaited word on whether the show would be renewed. In the meanwhile, Netflix stated in February 2020 that Insatiable would not be renewed for a third season.
Alyssa Milano expressed her dissatisfaction with the news through Twitter shortly after it was announced. She also said that they still have a lot of schemes to investigate.
Despite this, Milano’s tweet implied returning on a different channel. After all, the sitcom was the first to air on the CW. In addition, it was discontinued immediately after its first season. Netflix, on the other hand, rescued the day once.
As a result, there is a possibility that it will return to complete its tale. Although it has been reported that Netflix’s contract has a provision that forbids canceled episodes from broadcasting on other platforms for a certain period, this is not the case. As of the right moment, it is uncertain if season 3 will air on a different network or not.
This is sadly true. We had the most fun creating this show. I want to thank the fans who gave us a shot and kept coming back for more. Season 1 & 2 are still streaming. P.S. Any thoughts on who was Coralee’s baby daddy? I guess we will never know. 😭 #Insatiable https://t.co/iM9qzTgxDl

Insatiable Plot
Bob, a disgraced and unsatisfied civil lawyer-turned-beauty pageant coach, takes on Patty, a spiteful and mistreated girl, and has no clue what he’s about to unleash on the world in the film ‘Insatiable.’
While there has been a rush of teen series in recent years that have dealt with issues such as bullying and adolescent troubles, ‘Insatiable’ would be the first of its type to include the law into the mix, according to the producers.
In the film, the 17-year-old is presented as binge eating out of loneliness, which makes sense since, after all, what better way to fat shame, someone than to convince them that overweight people are lonely?
However, when Patty gets hit in the face by a homeless guy and her jaws are wired shut, everything changes in a wonderful way. As a result, she is on a liquid diet for three months, and when she emerges, she is noticeably thinner.
With her newfound confidence, she vows to show her classmates that she can win the beauty pageant and change their perception of her from a loser to a winner. Season 1 came to a close with Patty assassinating her ex-boyfriend and stalker, Christian.
Season 2 begins with Patty and Bob attempting to cover up her wrongdoing. While the police are investigating, Patty is working to bring the pageant competitors together.
The second season concludes with the announcement of the winner of the Miss American Pageant and Patty’s confrontation with her inner self.
