Since fans have seen so many characters on Chicago Fire over the years, it’s only natural that some of the details will slip through the cracks.
The much-loved Chicago Wednesdays on NBC include Chicago Fire, Med, and PD. However, it all started with Fire, which was the first show in the famous Chicago franchise from Wolf Entertainment.
It’s been a long time since the fictional Firehouse 51 opened its doors and brought us into the world of the Chicago Fire Department. The show’s first episode aired on the network in 2012. Sure, everyone has a favorite, but now that the show is back for its eleventh season, we can’t help but think back to an old character.
Not only that, but people want to know more about how Shay died in Chicago Fire. First, though, who was she?
Who Was Shay On Chicago Fire?
Leslie Shay, who was played by Lauren German, first appeared in the pilot, and she kept playing the role for the first two seasons.
As a paramedic at Firehouse 51, she worked closely with Gabby Dawson (Monica Raymund), and the two of them started to get closer as the show continued.
She was mostly known for standing her ground and asserting herself in complicated, tense situations. This could sometimes cause a rift between her and others, which brings us to season 2, episode 4, “A Nuisance Call.”
Shay and Dawson were told to stop a dangerous situation involving a man with a gun. Dawson was aggressive, but Shay was more caring. When the man killed himself, Shay became distant, and their friendship was put to the test.
Shay’s Chicago Fire Death Explained
When they are called to a building fire, things are a little tense because their friendship is still in bad shape. Even though Dawson basically put her colleague down before, she tells her to take charge this time.
The building is destroyed by an explosion, and a falling pipe kills Shay but barely misses Dawson.
She tries to save Shay, but she isn’t able to. Later, she finds out that the fire was started by an arsonist who lived in the building. He also killed Henry Mill and Ross McGowan.
Even though she showed up in flashbacks in season 3, fans were sad to see her go after the sad scene where she died.
Where Does Lauren German Live?
Lauren, who plays detective Chloe Decker on the hit show, lives in Los Angeles and prefers to stay out of the spotlight when she’s not on screen.
