A wonderful Chinese cartoon series called Heaven Official’s Blessing follows the adventures of Prince Xie Lian, a martial god who has been relegated to a trash deity despite having three ascensions. He finds himself at the center of a plot as he sets out on odd tasks that no other gods are interested in.
The Ghost City arc from the novel TiƁn Guān Cè Fë is where Season 2 begins, with Jun Wu sending Xie Lian on a covert expedition to Ghost City to locate a lost heavenly official. This time, rash and virtuous Lang Qianqiu and the overly amiable Shi Qingxuan are his friends. Naturally, though, Xie Lian will never have an easy life because San Lang, also known as the Ghost King, Hua Cheng, is the one in charge of Ghost City.
