And now Harry Styles has branched out into fashion design by working with renowned Italian fashion house Gucci to produce a brand-new capsule collection that is “1970s pop bohemian.”
The 28-year-old musician and actor collaborated with the luxury brand’s creative director Alessandro Michele to develop the HA HA HA collection, which made its debut in Milan and will hit stores in October.
A menswear capsule collection designed by Styles and Michele pays homage to the 1970s while embracing Styles’ distinctive new-look masculinity. The collection includes bowling shirts, double-breasted coats, mother-of-pearl buttons, treated denim jackets, velvet suits, printed pyjamas, and pleated coats.
Michele exclaimed, “Harry has an incredible sense of fashion,” praising the way the singer has styled his clothes over the years. “One day, as we spoke on the phone, I had the idea to collaborate with him. I suggested building a “dream wardrobe” together, beginning with the little oddities that combine to form innocent fantasies. In the end, we had a mixture of aesthetics, from bohemian and pop from the 1970s to the revision of the gentlemanly image in an overturned memory of men’s tailoring.”
Styles’ Gucci capsule collection hasn’t been given a release date, but we already know it will sell out completely.
Alessandro Michele Said
“Harry has a great sense of style.”
“Seeing how he can put clothes together in a way that is different from what is expected in terms of taste, common sense, and the homogenization of appearance…
“I came to realise that styling a look is a source of differences and powers, as are his reactions to the designs I have made for him, which he has always made his own; these reactions always give me a rush of freedom.”
The collection was made by Harry and Alessandro Michele. Alessandro and Gucci worked together on the design.
Gucci told the press about the exciting news at a press conference during Milan’s Men’s Fashion Week.
