Fire Force is one of the most popular shonen manga and anime shows, and it has already run for two seasons. There were a lot of rumors that the third season was being made during the first half of this year.
The third season’s production was officially announced on May 16, 2022. Since then, fans have been looking all over the internet for more information about the series, but the official team hasn’t given any more information to the anime community.
The expected release date of Fire Force season 3 can be predicted with high accuracy based on the announcement and release dates of the first two seasons.
Let’s look at the series’ anticipated release date and the potential streaming platform for this series.
Fire Force Season 3 Expected Release Date
On May 16, 2022, the official Twitter account of “Fire Force” Season 3 confirmed the anime’s return, exciting fans who were waiting for updates on the show. However, the announcement did not include a release date or any details about the production schedule. However, with David Production working on an adaptation of “Undead Unluck,” which is set to be released in 2023, it is unlikely that “Fire Force” Season 3 will be released that year. Fans have suggested potential new homes for the series, such as Studio Trigger, Bones, Wit Studio, and Studio Pierrot, but many believe that the show should remain with David Production if possible.
Fire Force Season 3 Expected Cast
The official cast list for “Fire Force” Season 3 has not been released yet, but it’s highly probable that most of the characters and voice actors from the previous seasons will return. Gakuto Kajiwara and Derick Snow are likely to reprise their roles as the protagonist Shinra Kusakabe in the Japanese and English versions, respectively. Kajiwara is well-known for his work as Asta in “Black Clover” and Hiro in “Shadowverse.”
Snow has lent his voice to numerous popular shows such as “One Piece,” “Dragon Ball Super,” “Fairy Tail,” and “My Hero Academia.” Kazuya Nakai and Jeremy Inman are expected to return as Captain Obi in the Japanese and English versions. Nakai, a seasoned voice actor with nearly 300 credits, has played many iconic characters, such as Roronoa Zoro in “One Piece” and Toshiro Hijikata in “Gintama.”
Other recurring characters, including Iris, Takehisa, Tamaki, Arthur, and Maki, will likely be voiced by their respective Japanese and English voice actors, including Mao Ichimichi and Alexis Tipton, Kenichi Suzumura and Christopher Wehkamp, Aoi Yuuki and Jad Saxton, Yuusuke Kobayashi and Eric Vale, and Saeko Kamijou and Sarah Roach. The Joker, voiced by Kenjirou Tsuda in Japanese and Sonny Strait in English, is also expected to make a return.
Fire Force Season 3 Expected Plotline
The second season of Fire Force concluded with the death of Captain Hague of Special Fire Force Company 4. The aftermath leaves the majority of Fire Force companies in disarray and pondering strategies to combat the ever-growing White-Clad threat.
The third season will begin with the Obi’s Rescue arc, the sixteenth arc of the manga series. Captain Obi of Company 8 is apprehended by White-Clad members posing as Tokyo Army soldiers. Ultimately, the White Clad intends to turn Obi into an Infernal, but Shinra immediately sets out with Joker to bring Captain Obi back due to a sudden Adolla Link.
Although it is uncertain whether Fire Force: Season 3 will be the series’ final part, it is gratifying to know that the franchise will return with a livelier-than-ever new entry.
