The only person to survive the plane crash changed many people’s lives. Young Edward was there and is now known as the only person who made it out alive. The boy can’t talk about his feelings, but people whose loved ones have died are going to therapy. Edward is stuck inside trying to figure out what’s happening, but he has made friends with Zoe, who lives next door.
People treat him like a celebrity, meaning that people greet the young Edward at his home while others go to grief counseling to accept their loved ones’ deaths. Dear Edward is a great series, so keep some tissues handy. Fans of the show have shown a lot of love for it, and when they started asking about Dear Edward season 2, that showed how much they care.
Even though the first episode of the first season came out on February 3, 2023, we’ve been hooked ever since. It’s a drama series about people who must deal with losing loved ones in a plane crash. If creator Jason Katims thinks a second season is necessary. In that case, it seems likely that Napolitano would agree with that artistic choice, which is good since the showrunner has been thinking about it. Deadline says he made the series to “expand and grow” the story beyond the book.
He told the outlet, “It would set up a situation where we’d have a story that continues these lives that you want to know more about.” “I always ask myself, ‘Do I want to learn more about these characters? Is there more to say?’ I feel that way for sure.”
So, all that’s left is for Apple TV+ to say whether or not Dear Edward will be back for more seasons. In the meantime, Katims has made several family dramas that you can watch if you want to be moved. He was responsible for Parenthood and Friday Night Lights before Dear Edward.
In the last one, Connie Britton played the lead role, and Katims asked her immediately to play Dee Dee. “There’s nothing more exciting than someone telling you they’re imagining you and writing a role for you,” she told Collider, adding that she “fell in love with the character.”
When asked how she felt about Season 2, she gave a hopeful answer. “I find it exciting to think about, too,” she said. “It’s like, ‘Oh, Dee Dee, what do you have in store?'”
