In the fantasy mystery series Carnival Row, supernatural beings like fae and pucks find refuge on Earth, but they are treated like second-class citizens. During the chaos, a mysterious force is killing people, and Officer Philo is doing his best to find it with the help of his ex-girlfriend Vignette, who is fighting her own battle.
After that mystery was solved, season 2 starts with a new one that keeps Philo busy. Jonah and Sophie, who were annoying side characters in the first season, become hated villains when they take over their parents’ jobs of oppressing supernatural people, much to Vignette’s dismay as she and the Black Raven try to stop them.
