Bofuri Season 2

Bofuri Season 2 Release Date: Is Series Confirmed This Year!

Entertainment

Every gamer dreams of a day when virtual reality becomes a reality for the first time. It’s a shame that this technology isn’t here yet, but thanks to fiction, we may imagine what life would be like if it were. If you’re into that sort of stuff, there may be an anime that has your name all on it.

There are, in fact, a number of anime that adhere to this principle (such as “Log Horizon” and “Sword Art Online”). It’s true that none of them are quite like “Bofuri: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, So I’ll Max Out My Defense.” All of “Bofuri’s” gameplay revolves around exploring an MMO in virtual reality, just as its genre-relatives before it. In contrast to series like “Sword Art Online,” “Bofuri” follows a lovably foolish novice who stumbles and falls into being one of the strongest players in a fictional VRMMORPG, NewWorld Online, despite his lack of gaming expertise.

Author Yuumikan published the series as an independent web book in 2016, according to Anime News Network. The popularity of the series developed quickly, leading to adaptations as a manga, a light novel, and (most recently) an anime. The first season of the show ended in 2020, however, a second season was immediately promised for release in the near future. So far, this is what we know about Season 2 of “Bofuri.”

Bofuri Season 2 Expected Release Date

Season 2 of “Bofuri” has not only been confirmed but is also expected to be released pretty soon. Announcing that Season 2 will premiere sometime in 2022, Silver Link wrapped up Season 1’s conclusion. At the very least, this has been a pleasant surprise. The second season of a new anime is rarely renewed so fast. It’s not uncommon for shows to go weeks or months without making any official announcements, leaving fans to mourn in the dark about the future of their beloved shows. “Bofuri,” on the other hand, does not fall into this category.

That does not mean, however, that the situation is without worry. This season’s announcement was made at a time when even the most popular series were experiencing delays. The pandemic’s impact on “Bofuri” Season 2 is still unclear at this time. As long as Silver Link hasn’t commented on the matter, everything is going as planned.

Bofuri Season 2 Expected Cast

It’s the characters in “Bofuri” who really make the film what it is. Even while our main character, Kaede Honjou (also known as Maple in the game), is able to gain an advantage, the focus of the program is on the fun she has made new friends through the game. Initially, she only plays with a friend from school, but she quickly rises through the ranks to become a guild leader and a major player in the RPG’s wider community.

If you want to get people invested in your show, you need a solid cast. “Bofuri” is no slouch in this aspect. The main cast of the program is expected to return to their respective roles upon release, thus the odds are good that it will stay that way. Thus, Kaede Hondo and Megan Shipman will be the driving force behind Maple’s events.

This does not mean that we should forget about the supporting characters. That’s why we can expect to see a return of the actors that portray Maple Tree, Maple’s guild, both in the Japanese and English dubs, which have historically been streamed simultaneously (via Anime News Network). That being said, “Bofuri” Season 2 is anticipated to see the return of characters like Sally (Ruriko Noguchi/Jad Saxton), Koromu, and Kanade (Satomi Arai/Brittney Karbowski).

Bofuri Season 2 Expected Plotline

“Bofuri” Season 1 ends with Maple Tree as one of the remaining teams standing in NewWorld Online’s latest community event. In an epic clash with their major rivals, team Holy Sword, Maple Tree is put to the test. Maple and Payne will face off in the end. The Atrocity variant of the walking fortress Maple still manages to get Payne down to his last drop of health. Her latest OP ability, Maple Tree’s latest OP ability, helps dispatch the remaining powerful guild, guaranteeing another team (the Flame Emperors) the victory, and Maple Tree a humble third-place finish, After the event, Maple invites everyone, even their adversaries, to a party.

It’s unclear what will happen next for Maple and her pals in the anime, but we do know that Silver Link has a rich history to draw upon. Though the anime, manga, and original novels all have minor deviations, “Bofuri” maintains largely faithful to its canon in all three mediums. With the anime’s first season-ending at Volume 4 of the light novel’s 12 installments, all other adaptations of the plot are far further ahead (via Kadokawa Books).

“Bofuri” isn’t over yet, but fans can expect to see more of Maple’s antics on NewWorld Online’s virtual reality fantasy realm. Season 2 of “Bofuri” promises to be full of heartwarming and hilarious events.
