As soon as this S*x and the City reboot is over, it’s over. At the end of 2021, the three best friends – Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte – came back together again. If you thought they were wild when they were in their 30s and 40s, you haven’t met them in their 50s. They’re very different now. True, there was a lot less s*x this time around, but that doesn’t mean they couldn’t get people excited. We’re not just talking about the double-penis surprise in episode eight. Samantha was “stuck in London” and missed all the “fun” while the girls went through a heartbreaking death, relationship changes, exploration of sexuality, and new friendships.
This is the first time we’ve seen our New York gal pals in action in a long time. We couldn’t help but wonder: Is this the last time we’ll see them? Everything you need to know about the show’s future is here.
And Just Like That Season 2 Release Date
When it came time for Season 2 to start in March 2022, it was done! On Instagram, Sarah Jessica Parker shared the news about the S*x and the City spin-off. She thanked the fans for their support of the new show. Along with a picture of the cast, she wrote: “Season 2.” Thank you for coming to see us. Simple and clear. You are our heart. We love you very much.” If Sarah told Variety earlier in the year that they were having talks, this shouldn’t come as a big surprise. “Definitely, I agree. Michael and I spoke two weeks ago, and said: ‘OK, when are we going to talk about this? The reason you don’t want to let too much time go by is that there’s a calendar. It feels like there’s a lot going on “She said.”
Because of scheduling and other things, we may have to wait a long time before filming starts (and as far as we know, writing). Our best guess is that the first of 2023 is when we will see it.

And Just Like That Season 2 Cast
There is almost no chance that And Just Like That will be back when it does. Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis are all important parts of the show. If we want to, we can cross our fingers and hope that Kim Cattrall will come back as Samantha Jones, but we don’t think we can bet on it, really. Carrie’s husband, John “Big” Preston, was killed off in the first episode of And Just Like That. When asked if the door was open for her to come back and if she would ever come back, executive producer Michael Patrick King said: Is it also over for Chris Noth?
Noth has been accused of sexual assault, which he has denied. This led to a cameo from the character being cut from the end of And Just Like That’s last episode. He said: “The accusations against me made by people I met years or even decades ago are completely false. I have never done anything like that.” When someone says “no,” it always means “no.” That’s a line I didn’t cross. “The encounters were agreed-upon.” It’s hard not to wonder why these stories came out at this time. When these stories came out, I don’t know for sure why. “I did not hit these women.”
“No. Nobody thought Kim would be in And Just Like That because she had said that. He added: “The only place I believe in magic is in fiction.” At work, you don’t back yourself into a corner. You take people at their word. Samantha is a great person to have around. I don’t think Kim Cattrall will ever appear again. There’s a good chance that this door is locked and bolted shut, though. In the show, at least some new women joined the crew. Nicole Ari Parker, Sara Ramirez, and Karen Pittman all came into the lives of the main girls. They all made an immediate impression on both the fans and the characters.
There were a lot of good things said about Ramirez, the actor who plays Che, Carrie’s podcast producer/co-host/stand-up comic, and Miranda’s new lover. Fans all love to hate her, but somehow she’s turned into a character they love (to hate) to have around. You have to admit that Twitter would have been a lot less interesting without her. She has a brash personality and portrays a non-binary person in a way that some people think is a little too stereotypical. The characters in this movie are Dr. Nya Wallace, a law school professor, and Lisa Todd Wexley, a rich mother of three.

And Just Like That Season 2 Plotline
It doesn’t matter what you think now. But we think there will be some s*x and a lot of New York. The show has changed a little, though. The three main women are now in a new stage of their lives, not just dating anymore (well, maybe a little bit of dating). Carrie is also trying to figure out how to live alone again after the death of her boyfriend, Big. Miranda has also come back into the dating game with a new partner in tow. No one knows for sure how long the lull between seasons one and two will be, but either way, it’s going to be a lot of fun. She has already fled the country and left her husband for Che. What could go wrong?
While Carrie and Miranda’s worlds have been shaken up a little, Charlotte’s hasn’t changed much at all. In the movie, Charlotte’s daughter, Rose, has become the gender-non-specific Rock (no labels please!). Charlotte only cares about the well-being of her child. She doesn’t care about what Rose looks like, what gender she is, or even if she is Jewish or New Yorker. It’s possible that a new season could throw her something that could change her life.

You’ll see it when it’s real! Keep coming back to this page for any changes. As soon as we do, we’ll let you know. Once the show is over, you can hit the “rewind” button and watch the original S*x and the City seasons, or if you’re brave, both of the movies on Netflix, to remember a simpler time when Samantha was still alive.
