All Rise, the courtroom drama by Greg Spottiswood, should be well-known to thriller enthusiasts. The series was made available to the general public on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2019. 

Lola Carmichael, a newly-appointed judge in Los Angeles County Superior Court, focuses on the dramedy television series.

When the circumstance calls for it, people know they can count on her to take decisive action. Despite the system’s faults, other legal experts in the courtroom are recognized as working relentlessly to ensure justice is served. It garnered a tepid reception from both reviewers and fans at its release.

Several people complimented the show’s good intentions but pointed out that outdated preconceptions limited it. Diversity, performances, and smart banter were all lauded on the night.

Several reviewers noted how well it depicts people and conflicts. However, some viewers have complained that the courtroom drama is sometimes arrogant.

All Rise Season 3 Release Date

The previously canceled Simone Missick courtroom drama All Rise will return for a third season consisting of 20 episodes. Streaming rights for the series will also be shared between HBO Max and Hulu.

On Dec. 1, the program will be available on both platforms. The third season will premiere in 2022, with the WarnerMedia- and Disney-backed streaming services picking up the remaining episodes.

The book Courtroom 302 by Steve Bogira served as an inspiration for the show. Los Angeles courts’ judges, prosecutors, and public defenders focus on this documentary. 

The next season’s concept has been kept under wraps by showrunner Spottiswood. As a result, we may foretell some of the storylines in All Rise Season 3.

Dee Harris-Lawrence was hired to co-run All Rise in season one when Sunil Nayar’s prior co-showrunner, Spottiswood’s Sunil Nayar, requested to leave the show, and Warners dismissed him. According to reports, Nayar left following a disagreement with Spottiswood.

For season 3, Harris-Lawrence will serve as the sole showrunner. If Peabody-winning drama David Makes Man gets renewed for a third season, Harris-Lawrence would have two series on OWN, the Discovery-backed basic cable network.
