Netflix’s ‘You’ chronicles Joe Goldberg, our favorite romantic serial murderer, as he continues to fall passionately in love with women and leaves a trail of dead bodies in his wake.

Joe has come a very long way in season 3, married and with a newborn child, but old habits die hard, and his obsessive hunt for the right mate continues.

Sera Gamble and Greg Berlanti created the show, which has received widespread critical and popular praise since its inception and enjoys a devoted global fan base.

Season 3 concludes with an especially devastating ending, and if you’re anything like us, you’re eager to see where Joe goes next. Now, let us begin. Everything we know regarding ‘You’ season 4 is below.

Netflix has renewed You for a fourth season.

In an unexpected move, Netflix announced the renewal of You for a fourth season 48 hours before the third season premiered.

As one of the most popular Netflix Originals, there was never any doubt that You would not be revived for a fourth season.

However, we expected the news to be made after the third season premiered, just in case it revealed anything about Joe’s fate in season three. You’re speculating regarding the season 4 premiere date.

Netflix has not yet announced a release date for You season 4.

The streamer did give You season 4 the green light before the release of the third installment. Netflix published a season 4 announcement video on October 13:

Thus, when might the fourth season of You be released? Consider the show’s history. Season 1 premiered on Lifetime in November 2018 and concluded in November 2019. Season 2 premiered on Netflix in December 2019.

Season 3 was published almost two years later, in October 2021, but this can be attributed to filming delays caused by the pandemic. Because film and television projects are largely back on track, You season 4 might broadcast as early as fall 2022.

What Could the You Season 4 Plot Be About?

Season three concludes with a final confrontation between Joe and Love, during which the latter is assassinated. Joe then abandons his son with a loving couple and sets fire to his house, containing love and two of his toes.

As a result, he is presumed dead, and we last see Joe in Paris, blending in with the crowd and seeking a new beginning.

Seasons 2 and 3 of ‘You’ are partially inspired by Caroline Kepnes’s 2016 novel ‘Hidden Bodies.’ The next novel in the series is the 2021 thriller ‘You Love Me,’ and season 4’s narrative may be inspired by it.

Joe will almost probably leave California and begin a new life abroad in the upcoming season.

Depending on how closely the season adheres to Kepnes’ novels, our hero may wind up relocating to the Pacific Northwest and attempting to court his next muse without resorting to his typical criminal methods. As a result, we may see a transformed Joe in the future.

Naturally, the fundamental problem of a passionate serial killer will continue, and fans can expect more violent antics from the central character, as well as insights into his history.

As was the case with Candace in season 2, Joe may now be haunted by the ghost of his ex-wife Love in the upcoming fourth season.

When can I view the You season 4 trailer?

Expect no fresh footage for quite some time, folks. Keep an eye on this space for updates. However, it’s a fairly reasonable bet to anticipate more of the same.

You, the season four cast

Penn Badgley will star as Joe Goldberg, a stalker, and serial killer, in You season 4. Season 3’s events imply that Victoria Pedretti will not reprise her role as Love Quinn, who appears to have been killed in a catastrophic gas explosion set off by Joe. Pedretti, of course, may appear in a flashback, dream sequence, or vision.

Joe has vanished (and is thought dead), making it unlikely that season 4 would see the return of most of the characters introduced in Madre Linda.

As Marianne Bellamy, Joe’s supervisor and the current object of his obsession, Tati Gabrielle is the primary exception. Joe has relocated to Paris to seek her down, and as we’ve already seen, he’s quite adept at it.

You Season 4

Joe may return to California to check on his kid, Henry, whom he left in the care of his library coworker and spouse. They are Ben Mehl in Dante Ferguson and Noel Arthur in the role of Lansing.

Saffron Burrows, who played love’s mother, Dottie Quinn, is another former cast member who could reappear. When we last saw her, she was en route to rehab.

She conceded Henry’s custody to Dante and Lansing when we last heard from her. However, Dottie is tenacious, and she may reappear.

Finally, might Cardi B make a guest appearance on You season 4? On Twitter, the rapper and Badgley have expressed their mutual admiration for one another.

And when Jimmy Kimmel inquired about a possible Cardi B attendance, the actor stated, “To be honest, I’m not sure; I certainly cannot say. However, there is a legitimate Change.org petition – I believe this is true.”

When Netflix’s Twitter bio was updated to read “Petition to have Cardi B guest star in Season 4,” the singer responded with her pitch:

According to a recent Deadline exclusive report, Euphoria star Lukas Gage has joined the cast of Netflix’s You for its forthcoming fourth season.

Gage will reportedly play “an American expatriate, the youngest son of a prosperous East Coast businessman. He is well-known for catastrophically failing to live up to the expectations of his prosperous, venerable family.

Adam is an entrepreneur and gambler, a gregarious and amusing party host, and a quick friend. However, Adam is concealing a treasure trove of secrets and masked problems with severe self-medication.”
