Although the Vanguard phase will conclude in December 2021, Activision is already working hard on the next big Warzone enhancement. Activision announced Season 2 on January 19, along with a little delay in releasing new content.
Nonetheless, Season 2 should include new weaponry and fix a slew of Warzone’s faults. But when and what can we anticipate from Season 2?
Season 2 has a lot riding on it after the holiday update, Festive Fervor, was published at the end of 2021.
It was lackluster and, in some instances, downright awful, so a lot is riding on Season 2. Will there be other Warzone in-game events? Perhaps Vanguard will get more multiplayer maps and Zombies improvements in the future? Here is what we currently know.
Vanguard Season 2 Release Date
Activision launched Season 2 officially on January 19, although the publisher announced a 12-day delay owing to persistent Warzone issues. Season 2 is scheduled to premiere on February 14, albeit this date has been changed.
Despite repeated upgrades, Activision states that “additional work has to be done” in this area. The additional time will be utilized to improve “gameplay optimizations, game balance (including weapon and equipment balance), game stability, and bug repairs, as well as to ensure an overall degree of polish.”

Because most key updates occur around 1 p.m. Eastern, it’s quite likely that we’ll be able to play Season 2 when it launches on February 14, 2022.
Vanguard Season 2 Trailer
Season 2 has not yet received a trailer, although one will almost certainly be published closer to the season’s launch. Season 1 began on December 9, after publishing a teaser the previous day, on December 8. With that in mind, the Season 2 teaser is expected to be published on February 13, 2022.
A teaser trailer may be published even sooner. We will update this webpage when new information regarding Season 2 becomes available.
Vanguard Season 2 Updates
While we have no idea what to anticipate from Warzone or Vanguard in Season 2, there are a few things we — and a sizable portion of the community — hope for in future releases.
Apart from bug fixes and weapon balance improvements, we believe Season 2 will see some changes to the Warzone playlists. At the moment, the only Vanguard Royale mode available is Quads, which is a big disadvantage if you lack a four-player squad.
Only the standard Battle Royale mode enables you to choose between Solos, Duos, Trios, and Quads.

Previous seasons have always included new weapons, and although this trend is likely to continue in Season 2, Call of Duty does not presently need any new weapons.
Since the Vanguard integration brought over 40 new weapons to Warzone in December 2021, most of us are still adjusting to the new options. Nonetheless, Season 2 will almost certainly include four new weapons.
Apart from that, we’re guaranteed to see new narrative elements that tie the whole plot together – not only in Warzone but also in Vanguard.
Additionally, a recent leak has revealed some details on the new Operators. JulesLeaks, a Twitter leaker, posted images of three new Operators who resemble Awoken from Season 1 but are dressed as a ghillie.
Let’s hope the Vanguard Zombies mode gets a significant upgrade since it was severely absent at the game’s launch. Vanguard may benefit from some more 6v6 multiplayer maps in addition to Season 2.
