Manifest will return for season 4 on Netflix, and that’s official. As a tribute to the series’ key Flight 828, which lands in Jamaica with its passengers five years after taking off, the premiere date for Season 4 was set for 8:28 am on August 28, 2021. Even though Deadline has stated that the release date for Manifest Season 4 is “this autumn,” fans are expecting that it will be released on August 28, 2022. Nearly all of the series regulars are back for the finale, including Josh Dallas and Melissa Roxburgh in leading roles (or two).
Netflix’s decision to renew Manifest in August 2021 was a complete about-face; the streaming service and the show’s originator, NBC, had both previously passed on the series. However, once Manifest(opens in a new tab) was added to Netflix, it broke all-time records for U.S. streaming.
Two months after picking up seasons one and two of the NBC drama Manifest, streaming giant Netflix has renewed the series. Twenty-five million Netflix accounts in the United States and Canada reportedly viewed the show in its first month. Once Manifest fell from the top place, it nevertheless remained the most popular show on Netflix.
Nielsen revealed in August of 2021 that Manifest has set new weekly streaming-ratings records with over a billion views for six consecutive weeks. By the end of September, Manifest has become only the third program in Netflix’s history to remain in the Top 10 for 100 consecutive days.
Season 4 of Manifest will be available on Netflix in late 2022.
Season 4 of Manifest is scheduled to premiere in the fall of 2022, however, some fans have speculated that it would debut on August 28th, 2022, in celebration of Flight 828, one year after the program was “saved.” Deadline reported in early June that its release date will be “this fall.”
Here’s the first-look sneak peek of Manifest season 4:
What would the “very important” news be for Manifest season 4?
Rake explains why, as last year, we need to pay attention on 828 days in a video message. The day of August 28, 2022, will bring with it “very important information.”
That begs the question: what could this possibly be? Speculation is acceptable until the big day arrives, and it is appropriate now. I believe a premiere date for the first episode of Manifest’s fourth season is imminent. Recall that Netflix originally planned to air the final season in two halves, each consisting of ten episodes. We are guessing that the debut date will be November 4th, the day Flight 828 landed safely back in the United States.
Just to clarify, season 4 will not be dropping on 8/28 day, but Jeff Rake has confirmed there will be a special announcement just like last year.
I’m going to guess a teaser trailer with the release date. Get excited Manifesters! 😎 #Manifest pic.twitter.com/HHXgFJkrii

It’s possible that we’ll also see the official season four trailer. Isn’t that something to look forward to? The preview we saw at Geeked Week suggests that post-production on the episodes has already begun, and in some cases, wrapped. The premiere of the teaser, with the release date disclosed at the end of the video, would be the cherry on top.
What Might Happen in “Manifest’s” Season 4?
Here’s what Netflix says about the season, according to Deadline: “When Montego Air Flight 828 landed safely after a turbulent but routine flight, the crew and passengers were relieved. Yet in the span of those few hours, the world had aged five years—and their friends, families, and colleagues, after mourning their loss, had given up hope and moved on. Now, faced with the impossible, they’re all given a second chance. But as their new realities become clear, a deeper mystery unfolds and some of the returned passengers soon realize they may be meant for something greater than they ever thought possible in this emotionally rich, unexpected journey into a world grounded in hope, heart, and destiny.”
That… doesn’t tell us much that fans don’t already know. In an interview with Netflix Life, Josh Dallas, who plays Ben, said that there will be a two-year jump in time. “We begin the next season two years from where we left off season 3. So we’ve moved ahead in time,” said Dallas. He added: “Sometimes I think—and of course, I haven’t gotten to the end—that he could be the agent of the apocalypse, the downfall of all of this because of the way he is so tenacious…The first part of the season is not going to be easy.”

The Cast of ‘Manifest’ Season 4
Nellie Andreeva, after June 2021, the actors were no longer legally required to be on the show. After the renewal was announced in September, most of the cast signed on. The only ones who didn’t were the character who died at the end of season three and the character who…aged unexpectedly (no spoilers! ), though that character has been seen in behind-the-scenes shots. Daryl Edwards, who plays Vance, was also made a regular cast member.
Meanwhile, the older actor who played that character at the end of season three is taking over for the one who suddenly got older. It’s too bad, because the two actors who aren’t coming back were very important to the success of the first three seasons of Manifest. Andreeva says that the rest of the cast will get “sizeable pay increases” for the fourth season. What’s On Netflix says that the budget for each episode of the last season has also gone up a lot, from $1 million to $4 or $5 million.
